The Jopp
Ok, we have the turn to goo and all those nifty spells, what about the FUN ones made by the more...whacky shamans out there? grinbig.gif

Turn to action man doll
The target becomes a tiny action figure no more than 10" high and is now made of plastic, including all his gear untill the spell is lifted.

Transform to SF Monster
The caster turns himself into something from a SF horror movie, be it ALIEN or PREDATOR it's all up to him.

Turn to Chibi
The subject becomes a tiny utterly CUTE version of himself and have stumpy hands and feet.

Turn to SPAM
The target becomes a can of spam.

X-Kalibur
Does Turn to Spam come with Guardian spirits that look like vikings to sing?

Spam spam spam spam...
Ryu
You´ve nearly got it! The right answer is Turn to ChiPS, not turn to Chibi!

Casting that spell requires the player to bring a bag of chips, so Turn to Goo is more popular.
Smilin_Jack
You could also go with the same theme that newest edition of the the game that shall not be named is doing and incorporate WoW MMO Mechanics.

Sheep
Type: P • Range: LOS • Duration: S • DV: (F ÷ 2) + 2
Transforms the target into a sheep. While transformed, the sheep cannot attack or cast spells.

Perfect for Bubba the Hillbilly Love Troll on those long cold nights in the Cascades.
CircuitBoyBlue
Or a version of a mana spell that destroys the target's mind instead of his body. The equivalent of Mana Bolt could be traumatize or something. The equivalent of Death Touch would of course be Bad Touch. The damage can be healed, but only if the target has an operable support network.
Riley37
Turn to Foo spells that affect only the target's mind. These are different from the Control Emotion/Thoughts - the target isn't having their usual mental processes overridden; their mind *goes away* (like your lap when you stand up) for the duration of the spell's effect.

Turn to Slave - body does not change, but target becomes willing slave of first entity to give it an order; a willing slave with all mental stats at 1 and no skills, that is. (does NOT have the mind, stats or skills of the target, any more than Goo has the AGI or CHA of the target)
Turn to (Caster) - reproduce with viral speed by imprinting your mind on someone, who then casts it on someone else, and so on!
Turn to Ninja/Pirate

Turn to Britney - this spell has been banned by all lodges everywhere as just too inhumane.
MadDogMaddux
Turn to Furniture: transforms willing target into any item of furniture that the caster desires, complete with all the details. Perfect for hiding assassins and eavesdroppers!

Wonder Twins: Small Area of Effect - turns one subject into any bird and the other subject into any form of water. (need to work on the mechanics of this one a tad....)

Turn to Geek: Mental Compulsion spell that induces the subject to obsess about Sci-Fi and Fantasy alternate realities, but grants a temporary skill bonus (equal to Force /4) to Computers and Hardware (Spell's skill boost overrides any existing skill of the target).

Turn to Hawking: More potent version of Turn to Geek. Spell increases the targets logic by Force/2, but reduces all physical stats to 1.

Turn to Foo spell <snip>

Seems to me that this should actually cause a group of subjects to grow a mullets and goatees, also grants them Force skill points in the active skill Rock Out.
Paradigm
Turn to Mist: Vampires can do it, now after years of painstaking research so can you.

Disclaimer: The spell to turn back includes verbal and somatic components. As soon as we manage to find our lead researcher in the ventilation system and turn him back, we'll continue research on correcting this oversight.
Kyoto Kid
...Turn to the Left: (Mental Manipulation) Transforms an arch conservative into a pacifistic, socialistic, bleeding heart liberal. Also decreases Willpower by net hits to a minimum of 1

..and it's antithesis...

Turn to the Right: (Mental Manipulation) Transforms a liberal humanist into a God fearing, Stay the Course, "[insert country/corp name], love it or leave it" hard-line conservative. Also reduces Intuition by net hits to a minimum of 1.

Is there a "Moderate" version of those spells? (speaking as someone that detests both sides equally)
Kyoto Kid
...that would be the Common Sense spell. The target of this spell sees all forms of extremism as being pointless. It also raises Intuition and Willpower by net hits to the attributes' augmented maximums. Repeated castings on the same target over time can have a permanent effect on his or her political outlook.
Lindt
The common sense spell is far above the ability of mere mortals. Its reserved for horrors and old dragons.
hyzmarca
Rather, it would be the Extreme Center spell. Target decides that the Wisdom of Solomon is best, but forgets what happens after he orders the baby to be cut in half. Individuals suffering from the effects of this spell believe all controversies are best solved by going evenly down the middle, even when such a middle path is illogical or insane.

"You say Slavery should be abolished; you say that people have an inalienable right to own other people; lets just split the difference and free half the slaves."

Charisma is reduced by Net Hits.

Hats off to The Jopp for starting this.

Detect Self. Improved version: Detect Self, Extended.

Fall (Indirect, Elemental); Fallball (Indirect, Elemental, Area)
Causes Falling damage (p154)

Transmute Rock to Stone
.... sorry, wrong system.

"Turn to CHiPS?"

Shouldn't that change them into Erik Estrada?

You've no idea how relieved I am to see that I'm not the only person who thought that.
Kyoto Kid
...that actually crossed my mind when I first saw it.
Whipstitch
I blame cartoon network; they're all about the Estrada.

Fallball made me think of hairball for some weird reason...

Hairball... causes target to cough up a hairball just like a cat.
Mass Hairball... area effect spell.

Great practical joke spell... probably made by some Surged catperson mage who wanted to make sure the rest of the group knows what it feels like in their shoes.

No, that one transforms the target into a member of the California Highway Patrol from the mid-1980's.

Very funny topic. biggrin.gif

My sugestion.

TURN TO ME: This spell makes the target turns and face the caster. The same effect could be acchieved, most of the time, by screamming or calling the target by the name.
