Sometimes, when life is bleakest, people find help in the oddest of places. Sometimes, their help finds them. The Guardian Angel is a rare sort of spirit. While some people believe that everyone has their own, harsh reality shows us otherwise. These overworked altruists visit people in their time of greatest despair, and give advice to help them though their darkest hours. Some take the form of the lovable bumbler, such as George Bailey's Clarence. Some look like that slitch from The 100 Lives of Black Jack Savage. Others choose more mythological forms. Some are kind and gentle, others, such as the Ghost of Christmas Future, take a "Scared Straight" aproach to personal reformation. Some specialize in help those in spiritual or psychological need. Others choose to help those who are in mortal physical danger, whispering life-saving advice through a mind line.
