I thought this might be about drones/droids for everyone's use. There are already rl mini-vaccuums that can roll around a room on there one and a cat's litter box with sweeps itself.

And this fun little thingy that'll clean your home's eaves gutter (brought to you by a company that also builds military scout drones, though I misplaced the link). Now that's a sensible application, if you ask me.
