quick ?, does the limit on the number of "Take Aim" actions equal to half your weapon skill still count if you are using a take aim action to use vision magnification?

e.g. sally shadowrunner has Pistols 3 and vision mag in her cybereyes. she is firing her AVS at long range; can she use two actions to reduce the range to short AND get a +1 DP, or just one or the other

sally only has Pistols 1, can she not use a take aim action AT ALL to use her vision magnification?

No as an simple action you can take aim to bring the target to short range using vision magnification, and as a second simple action you can take aim to gain the +1 die to your die pool. This is when the restriction to your weapon skill. You can always get a +1 die mod if you have at least 1 rank in the skill.
