The free spirit known as Rasputin served Anastassia's family when she was a child and rescued her from the violence of the revolution. Severely weakened by the deaths of his other pact partners in the Romanov family, Rasputin Rasputin took young Anastasia out of Europe and to America, keeping a low profile as he slowly rebuilt his strength.

A monastic order founded by Rasputin after the Awakening, this small but dedicated cadre of monks serve their master loyally and take his teachings to heart. A few in the upper echelons have Friendship Pacts with Rasputin, a number that grows as Rasputin's Force does. Currently, most of their resources are dedicated to countering the machenations of Lennin's Communist Vampires.



History
Shot and bayoneted multiple times in a dingy basement the age of 17, Anastassia survived by sheer luck, tenacity, jury-rigged armor made out of precious jewels, and her connection to the Mad Monk. Though Rasputin was unable to save the other members of her family, she held on long enough for him to stabilize her and partially heal her wounds.

She remained in hiding, secretly moving Westward, first towards Britain and then America, resurfacing only briefly to warn Stalin of Lenin's transformation into a creature of the night, an action that prompted Stalin to secretly overthrow Lenin and covertly purge the Soviet Union of bloodsuckers under the guise of executing enemies of the state, earning her the eternal enmity of the Communist leader.

Anestassia, now forever youthful thanks to her Pact with Rasputin, kept a low profile in America, and took a factory job during the Second World War to help the war effort. During the 60s, she attended a few bra-burnings and she was present at Woodstock, but was careful to keep her identity secret even while foolish impostors risked their lives claiming to be her. During the 80s, she was an outspoken supporter of Regan's anti-Soviet policies. She delighted when the Soviet union fell, and was tempted to make a play for the long-defunct throne that was rightfully hers, but knew that such an attempt would be suicidal without a base of support.

In 2036, divers discovered and raised the chain-wrapped body of Lenin. Their deaths were agonizingly slow.
The revived Lenin, his power base destroyed and his ideology proven wrong in his absence, began secretly turning small-time Russian politicians into vampires, hoping to slowly regain influence and create a new brand of Communism.
He hadn't considered the possibility that Anastasia might still be alive, but she knew that Stalin had dumped Lenin in the Atlantic after failing to kill him and expected that he might one day return. His activities were obvious to her, prompting her to begin training to slay him.

Her first confrontation with Lenin did not go well. She drove a wood-cored monosword through his heart, unaware of the fact that Lenin had two hearts. He severed her arms with her own blade and tied off the stumps with tourniquets before feeding on her, causing her to develop an addiction to the ecstasy of being essence drained, one which she struggles to resist to this day. Once again, she was saved by Rasputin, and spent many months recovering. Cloned limbs helped the process along. She filled in her essence hole with muscle replacement, enhanced her eyes, and began training extensively with the use of firearms, preparing for her rematch with Vladimir.

History

Lenin was, at one time, the Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR, a position that he earned by leading the Bolshevik party to victory in revolution and in civil war. A stroke took away his ability to serve in this position, the a second and then a second took away his ability to move at all.
On his deathbed, Lenin was visited by a vampire and offered a chance at immortality, one that only a fool would decline. Lenin was no fool.

His attempt to reclaim control of his government from Stalin, who had becomes increasingly powerful during Lenin's convalescence, met with failure. Stalin was aware of Lenin's new vampiric nature and moved against him first, driving a wooden stake through one of his two hearts during a savage ambush, and having his wounded body dumped in the ocean.

Lenin spent over a century sleeping in the cold waters of the Atlantic before being raised by some hapless, foolish treasure hunters. He found that Communish had failed during his long absence and Capitalists ruled the world. His dream was dead, but he could start anew, and he tried to do just that. Unfortunately, Anastasia and Rasputin violently opposed his plans, putting his dream of a global Socialist state under his rule that much farther from his grasp. .
