My apologies all for my absence. A rush project came up but we should be moving along now. Because of the delay, I'm going to run with the dice rolls posted and do the others myself rather than making people wait even more.

I threw up a post to keep things moving. Sorry for the delay had to get our bathroom gutted and redone so we ended up in a hotel for a few days but things are settling down here so I'm back.

Can someone post a definitive plan for at least what their character is going to do, if not the entire team? From there I will move the action along.

I was looking up his schedule to determine where he's at right now. In his office, lab, classroom... etc. Then we can decide to go where he is or where he isn't. Or both. My thoughts on the matter, anyway.

Alright, tossed out some more specific direction on the team, following Red's post. I figure as the face, organizing people falls in the skill set, so unless someone's got better ideas or it falls more under someone's direct area of expertise, I'll toss out general plans?

Redjack, just to clarify, are the messages you're sending out to the team text, audio, private ARO's, or what? I just realized I wasn't sure, and I wanted to make sure I was reacting appropriately.

I actually imagined it to be a mixture of all three. Knowing what I know about the cutting edge of messaging today, I can see that within a decade it will be common place to have blended voice/data messages at least like it is to have attachments on email today.

Unless you plan to just knock on a door to get access, yes, I will need rolls for the lock. I will also need to know how you are hacking it, hardware or virtually.

Yah sorry about the delay, the in-laws dropped in for a week and we've been playing host but going to post this afternoon after I put the kids down for a nap. I'll be doing an IC then OOC with rolls (after I look things up of course). Happy new week all!

Ok OOC is up and I wanted to check that it was ok for players to shift to new scenes and such. I was getting ready to post us arriving at the house but then realized I have no idea what kind of place he had and that I might be stepping on GM toes by deciding those things in a post. So let me know if that's ok or just give me a little intro post for the specifics of the house. Thanks!

Another question, how are we handing the spending of karma? Do we need to post some IC stuff to show us spending it or is it more of a OOC thing where we tell you how we spent the points etc?

So just to understand my options:
- Can we attempt to physically crack the lock, messing with wiring and all?
- Is the lock wireless? If so, can I attempt to hack it directly?
- Can I simply attempt to spoof a command? If I attempt to spoof it, do I need to also spoof data back to the controller to make it think the lock is still closed?

So here is my plan:
Scan for nodes. Find the lock, the controller and potentially motion sensors, etc in the lab.
Spoof a connection to the lock. Spoof a connection to the controller.
Command the lock to open and send a feed to the controller that the lock is closed.
If there are other security devices, attempt to p0wn them as well.

If this is reasonable given the technology and lab set up, I'll roll and post to that effect.

One member of the team realized from the stance he had taken that he had some martial arts training, The muscle of the group moved forward to grab yet another corp wage slave (in his mind) only to go flying over the edge of the roof to the street below as the first runner (a little too late) yells "Look out he knows Kung Fu......"

So, totally making the centrifuge thing look like an accident. BishopMQ, would Palming or Con be more appropriate for concealing the deliberateness of the act?

Fenris--It's a heavy lab centrifuge weighing about 60 pounds. If you want to "accidentally bump" something, I'd recommend a test-tube rack. There are several near the centrifuge. Otherwise, you can knock over the centrifuge, but the threshold will be higher to keep it looking accidental. Palming + Charisma to play it off as an accident.
