Trideo, Simsense, RFID everything. The tech is developing in all three of these fields, so it is only a matter of time.

This makes for a business case on shielding against RFID contaminated devices and destroying RFID tags without damaging the goods. No way I'll allow myself to be lojacked.

That's cause you don't live in Mexico City.
(They still need to keep an external transmitter though. Not sure why a kidnapper wouldn't toss the transmitter along with cellphones etc.)

As I recall, within a few feet, at most. Pretty underwhelming as an anti-kidnapping measure.

But why would a kidnapper let you keep your stuff? <-- That's the problem with it.

I know there was a rumor of California wanting to implant RIFD tags for medical data... ergo, you're out like a light the EMT's only need to pass the reader over to know who you are and what you med history is so they can admin treatment... Don't know if this was true or not, anyone out that way can verify?

http://www.aclunc.org/issues/technology/bl..._governor.shtmlCalifornia passed a law that prohibits citizens from being required to get RFID tags for work. I'm assuming the state will not begin requiring it for medical reasons any time soon.
