Alright, this will be the official Key for posts, ie. what fonts and such mean what.

This indicates a text message or e-mail. If you don't have a DNI of some kind, this will require actually typing on your commlink, which will be easy to notice and take time. Reading such a thing requires something with an image link, or squinting at your commlink's screen

This indicates electronic sound transmissions. It could be from a subvocal mic, a regular mic, a recording, a node, or whatever else. All commlinks come equipped with both mics and speakers, but not announcing things to the world requires subvocal mics and/or earpieces (or similar 'ware)

This indicates HUD info. It could be anything from a spam popup to a notice that your favourite drone has been destroyed. As text message requires an image link or screen squinting

"This indicates speech, go figure."

This indicates a physical action of some kind.

(This indicates OOC. Should be used sparingly. The main function is to perform die rolls inside your posts. Speaking of which, please use invisiblecastle.com for rolls.)

This indicates narrative devices. This should generally only be used by me, but may occasionally be used by players when describing their home, equipment, or something similar (Though this can usually be done as part of a physical action, example:

Bob leads his friends to his home, a mobile home that has become less mobile with the flattening of several of its tires.

This indicates actions by your minion, and should be combined with the above options. I give you full control of your individual minion so long as they act reasonably. If there is something you don't know about your minion (Like where exactly they live) that you think it pertinent, please ask on the OOC board.

This indicates pain.

Yet another day at Fredrickson High. A Monday in fact.. a rather hot Monday, just the sort of day that really gets tempers high for no reason. It also happens to mark two months till the end of term, but most people don't let that spoil their bad mood. Lunch hour sees another steaming plate of tasteless soy and water that you can almost see through.

Most students eat their food outside, on the mass of asphalt that might have once been used for sports. Food however isn't the main attraction of lunch though, at least not today. Today's main attraction is Carson, the school's only troll student. Monday has never agreed with him much, nor has Alexie...

Carson walks casually up behind Alexie, and a moment later Alexie finds himself holding an empty tray, Carson towering over him pouring the soy from the plate directly into his mouth. The Troll glares down at Alexie "What ya gonna do 'bout it runt?"

Theft of food and a public insult, the reaction to this is the sort of thing that makes or breaks a small time gang.

Go!
Little Johnson
Tink Walks up and stands next to Alexie <in russion> " This going to be soft or hard alex?"

Nods to Carson <english> " I see your little friend isnt here today carson. You sure you want to be stiring things up while hes out?"

<Text alert marked urgent to any member not present> Carson is causeing trouble might want to be here
Mickle5125
Dryden leans against a nearby wall, idly shuffling a deck of cards. He carefully brings up his nasty vibe and glares at Carson. "You really don't learn, do you Carson? Walk away. Walk away before I decide that I'm tired of you wasting my time. Or, if you really want to be destroyed, stick around. Make your choice, Omae."

( Intimidation roll: [2,4,4,1,3,4,5,1,5,3,2,1,1,6,2,6] = (4))

While he says this, Dryden casually begins preparing the cards for throwing.
Oenone
Alexei glances down at the empty tray, then casually turns to face Carson turning his Wired Reflexes on with a DNI command.

"Runt is the best you can come up?" he wonders, glancing around to see who might be watching. "It is simple, I give you one chance now to apologize and save face."

Turning his head a fraction towards Tink he switches to Russian and adds "We would need everyone to fight him unarmed. Words for now, but revenge for later."
Karaden
Carson seems somewhat confused, a natural state of being for him, both by the Russian and by suddenly facing three people, all of whom seem to be trying to threaten him, which only makes him angrier. He decides to continue to single out Alexie. "Apolgize?" he says in a loud voice, shortly followed by deep laughter "Maybe I show everyone how runt you are."

Carson slowly draws back one of his massive fists, a purposeful slowness. It is at this point most people he has come across cry, beg, and give him stuff, and he wants to ensure you have a chance to do that before delivering the blow.

Regardless of everything else, the thought of what will likely happen if that meaty fist connects is sobering. Several students that had been hit by Carson didn't come around till after they where dragged home by their parents, and didn't show up again for several days.
Andrensath
Milafin rolls her eyes as she attempts to hack into Carson's commlink and plant a message ordering him to go to the local Lone Star station.
(Hacking test to get into Carson's commlink. (8d6.hits(5)=2))
Mickle5125
Dryden sighs and calls out to Tristen in Russian. "Any ideas, comrade? If not, get clear... And begin planning a surprise for this fool. Perhaps something involving molotovs?"

From his place near the back of the line Gres is unaware of what is going on until...

QUOTE (Little Johnson @ Oct 3 2008, 03:26 PM) *
<Text alert marked urgent to any member not present> Carson is causeing trouble might want to be here

The text message pops up in his contact lens distracting him and causing him to look up. Seeing Carson's big meaty fist in the air Gres sees that there are to many people nearby for a stunball. So he ops for a distraction

(Casting Mind Probe Force 2 as a distraction 9d6.hits(5)=2 [4,1,3,5,6,4,4,2,1] )
(Drain Resistance (3) 8d6.hits(5)=5[6,6,3,2,1,6,5,6] No drain)
Karaden
Milafin manages to break through Carson's firewall like Carson would break through a picket fence, before she can do much more then glance around his virtually empty commlink, things come to a head.

Tristen calls back in almost flawless Russian "Maybe threatening him wasn't the greatest idea. I suggest a retreat till we.."

Gres manages to penitrate into Carson's mind, and instantly begins reciving thoughts along the lines of 'Gonna crush this runt' 'Heh, little weird guy trying to threaten me, gonna crush him next' and after a moment 'Why's my brain feel weird? He's doing something! Crush time!!'

With this final though, Carson's fist jabs forward with tremendous speed, attempting to land a solid blow on Alexie's stomach.
(3 hits on attack roll)
Oenone
As Carson raises his fist and begins to make his swing Alexei drops his empty tray and pulls his fists up, ready to defend himself.

(13d6.hits(5) → [5,1,6,5,4,1,3,6,5,3,5,4,3] = 6 Hits total - Link to roll under spoiler. )

[ Spoiler ]

As the fist jabs forward Alexei twists to one side and using both his arms knocks Carons blow to one side. He can't help but smile, few can stand up to Carson for even a single blow.
Mickle5125
Dryden curses in Italian as Carson's fist starts towards Alexei and, as soon as he can react, slings the cards he prepared. He throws the first just hoping to distract Carson enough to keep him from killing Alexei, and aims the second to cut the hand Carson is using to hold the plate, praying that the pain is enough to make him drop the plate and the fight.

(Throw one: [6,1,2,5,1,3,5,2] = (3); 5P damage + net hits)
(Throw two: [2,2,[6, 3],[6, 6, 3],3,5,5,1] = (5); 5P + net hits (Arnis allows damage to disarm attempt))
Karaden
Carson pays the cards little heed, they're only cards after all. He seems quite unaware of their excessive speed and the magic they carry. As it turns out, he doesn't seem to have much more to fear from them then normal cards. The first one simply bounces off his jacket as any other card would, though the large troll does seem to notice something odd about them at that point. With only a moment to react he twitches his hand just enough that the card bounces off the cuff of his armored jacket, once again seeming to have no real affect on the large troll, except to cause him to glare at the one who threw them.

Gres receives thoughts of 'Which one should I crush first?'
Mickle5125
Dryden curses again in Italian as he watches his cards prove to be completely useless. He was so sure that second shot was going to go through, too! A thought suddenly comes to mind, and he instantly bellows out in Russian, "LOU! CONTROL ACTIONS!" and prays that his comrade gets the hint.

Most unfortently for Tink, he isn't quite tall enough to reach Carson's nose as intended. Carson once again doesn't bother doing much in the way of attempting to dodge the blow. The century old tray smashes against Carson's chest, shattering into several pieces, but seeming to have no actual affect on the large troll. Memories of younger days when everyone was downright terrified of him are recalled, it seems the old fears where well founded.
Andrensath
Having realized how pointless bothering with Carson's commlink is, Milafin exits it and scans the area, attempting to detect any cyberlimbs he may possess.

Spotting the fight breaking out between Carson and her superiors in the gang, Mya charges at him, launching a flying kick at his back.

(12d6 Scan, 7d6 Fading Resistance (12d6.hits(5)=8, 7d6.hits(5)=4)
9d6 to hit, DV2S (9d6.hits(5)=4))
Karaden
Carson doesn't notice Mya until it is too late for him to react, though it doesn't seem that he needs to. Other then making him take a small step forward, the kick has no apparent affect on Carson.

Milafin's natural perception of the wireless world serves her well, as she quickly spots a hidden node emminating from Carson. The signal is weak however, barely leaving his body, and not even reaching to his own commlink. It is at least proof that Carson has some kind of cyberware installed.

Seeing the various attacks bounce off Carson, Gres steps up his actions

((Dropping mind probe... Casting Power Bolt Force (5) 11d6.hits(5)=5[3,6,3,5,2,2,6,2,5,3,5] = (5)))
((Drain Resistance 8d6.hits(5)=3 [4,1,6,1,4,3,5,6] = (3)))
((Do we round up or down when we divide the force of a spell? If it round up Gres has 1 box of stun if it rounds down it is 0))

Hearing the order to control the troll Lou tries...

((Control actions (4) 3d6.hits(5)=0[2,4,2] = (0) Spell fails))
((Drain Resistance (2) 9d6.hits(5)=5[4,6,3,5,5,6,4,3,6] = (5)))

Karaden
Carson definitely notices the powerbolt. It strikes him hard, causing his body to spasm slightly, a slight singed smell quickly beginning to emanate from him. On the bright side, Gres' spell got Carson's full attention. On the not so bright side, Gres himself now has Carson's full attention. While some might be inclined to back down after such a strike, it seems to have only gotten Carson angrier.
Little Johnson
Tink backs away looking for anything that might stave off the troll long enough for his friends to take it down

Opening a com channel to his dobermans and roto drone brains ordering them to wake up and power on thier systems. He also opens his pack to reliese his flyspy drones.

Karaden
Carson charges at Gres, furry in his eyes. He coveres the 7 or so meters between himself and the shaman in a flash, his first thrusting forward with impressive speed. One thing is for sure, either Gres is about to be in alot of pain, or there is going to be a chunk missing from the wall behind him in a moment. Perhaps both if the young shaman is particularly unlucky.

4 hits on the attack. Resist for 9S + net hits

The blow is far too fast for Gres to dodge, having time to do little besides widen his eyes as the fist came at his stomach, and connects solidly. His body is pushed back a few inches into the brick wall behind him, which quickly forms a spider's web of cracks, the air escaping quickly from his lungs. The blow is far too much for Gres, and he immediately falls unconscious.
Oenone
With an almightly roar Alexie charges after Carson, augmented muscles powering him forward and plastic laced fists raised to hammer down on the trolls back.

[ Spoiler ]

Total of 7 Successes causing 5P damage + 4 from the called shot bonus.
Karaden
(FYI you can use .hitsopen(5,6) to automatically reroll the sixes)

Carson notices Alexie at the last moment, managing to turn around and almost get his fists up to block the attack, but not quite. Gres' limp body falls to the ground as Carson stops pinning it to the wall with his fist. A swift punch to the kidney forces Carson to suck air for a moment, but definitely doesn't put him out of the fight. "Runt!" he roars as he quickly gets his breath back.
Andrensath
Seeing Gres get hammered by Carson's attack, Mya curses in fury as she charges the troll, attempting to sweep his legs out from under him.

(Charging knockdown attack with an Edge point. (10d6.hitsopen(5,6)=4) DV2S)
Karaden
Unfortunately for Mya, Carson is simply too large and massive to be swept at the legs by someone without real training at it. He barely even notices as her foot connects with his leg. Just as Carson is pulling back his fist to take another swing at Alexie, two shots sound out from the crowd. A moment later Carson begins twitching, small arcs of electricity making their way over his body.

Though the electric jolts have certainly had an effect on him, Carson continues with his punch, not having time to look for the new threat just yet.

3 hits against Alexie, 9S + net hits

(Those of you who beat threshold 2 on your perception checks managed to locate and notice the one who fired before he managed to blend into the crowd, all of whom are pulling away from the spot the shots where heard.)
Little Johnson
Tink puts his mini drones in the air and proceeds to put a little distance between him and carson.
He sends out an AR feed to any on the team that accepts it with the shooter marked in red.

"I have the shooter in sight lill keep track of him and any reinforcements carson may get"
Oenone
Alexei takes what little advantage he can from the electrical assault on Carson, using the pause to pull his fists back up protecting his face. The blow hammers against him, but his boosted muscles and bones take the impact.

"You hit like a little girl," he declares with blatant contempt.

(4 Hits defaulting to a full parry)

[ Spoiler ]

Mickle5125
Dryden hears that the shooter is being watched and puts it out of his mind. He attempts to quickdraw a card to throw, but isn't quite able to get the card free of the deck, so he preps it and another card to throw and waits for an opportunity.

(Quickdraw: [6,3,1,5,4,2] = (2). Quickdraw fails. 2 cards prepared for throwing on his next IP.)
Andrensath
Walking nearer to Carson, Milafin switches to VR then attempts to hack into Carson's cyberware and force it to crash. Meanwhile, Mya attempts to kick Carson in the crotch.

(Even the weakest signal is range 3 meters RAW. 12d6 Attack, 2d6 DR (12d6.hits(5)=8, 2d6.hits(5)=2)
Called shot to the crotch, DV3S (4d6.hits(5)=1))
Karaden
(I've been so out of it lately, thought it was 1m.)

Carson manages to adjust one of his knees, blocking Mya's kick. Milafin on the other hand has much more success, breaking through the cyberware's firewall with ease. She finds herself in what appears to be a dark room with nothing but a 3-d model of a nervous system. Though it doesn't move energy can be seen flowing through it. It seems certain this is some sort of reaction enhancement cyberware, and this is the main running process

(Hacking+Attack(secret, 1 combat turn) test please. I'll let you continue the action between passes, ie use up your other simple action and one simple action from the next pass, affects won't happen your next pass, so make them at your leisure)

Carson stops for just a moment at the order, but quickly shakes it off, giving a howl of rage, he isn't used to his quarry putting up such a fight. Of course this building rage does nothing to improve his tactics, except that his fist now aims for a more painful punch to the face for Alexie, if he can ever get past his guard.

(4 hits 10P +net hits)

Milafin blasts the neural structure with an energy ball, and it begins to flicker erratically. It seems to have survived the attack, but only barely.
Oenone
The fist comes flying at Alexei but the nimble ork slaps the fist aside with another double handed block.

"What's the matter Carson? Can't even beat up runts now?" he taunts, trying to keep the huge trolls attention fixed on him.

(13d6.hits(5) → [5,5,2,4,2,6,1,6,4,5,3,2,2] = 5)

[ Spoiler ]
Andrensath
Seeing the nervous system representation start flickering, Milafin smiles coldly before launching another energy ball at it.

(12d6 Attack, 7d6 DR (12d6.hits(5)=3, 7d6.hits(5)=1) Milafin's down one stun box.)

Meanwhile in meatspace, Mya tries to kick Carson again, this time going for his solar plexus.
(Called shot to the chest, DV4S (3d6.hits(5)=0) And whiffs completely. At least she didn't glitch.)
Karaden
Carson convuslses slightly as his wired reflexes send a jolt through his system before shutting down compleatly. The node forces Milafin to disconnect as all of its subsystems shut down, though she is given ample time to do so without injuring herself.

(Milafin has another Pass before Carson and our favorite card throwing face get to go at the same time.)
Andrensath
Having exited the node as it shut down, Milafin fires off a quick text message to the gang. Alright, I've taken down Carson's wired reflexes, so he should be easier to hit now.
Karaden
Carson isn't really sure what has happened, but that isn't going to stop him from using his tried and true method of figuring things out... punching whoever is closest. Tactics are definitely not high on Carson's agenda.

(6 hits, 10P + net hits. Hope your arms don't give out on you just yet Alexie, this could hurt.)
Oenone
Alexei's fists manage to lesson the impact enough that he remains unharmed, but going toe to toe with the huge troll is beginning to take it's toll on him and his block seems to have worked more through luck than skill.

(Total of 6 hits. 3 From first roll and 3 from edge re-roll.)

[ Spoiler ]
Mickle5125
Dryden smirks as he sees Carson twitch and launches both cards at him, one after the other.

(first throw: [2,4,4,3,4,2,1,5] = (1) = 5P+net hit

second throw: [6,3,4,2,3,4,1,6] = (2) = 5P+net hits)

Dryden curses slightly. 'My aim is terrible today... I really need to practice more...'
Karaden
Carson knows now that these cards have the ability to be slightly annoying, and so attempts to move out of the way of an attack for once. He doesn't manage to move much as the cards come sailing at him, but he doesn't have to thanks to the poor throws. They barely scrape his jacket and definitely fail to phase him in the least.
Andrensath
Exiting VR, Milafin goes to aid Gres, starting to perform First Aid on him before it's too late.
(First Aid test with a point of edge. (7d6.hitsopen(5,6)=5))

Circling round behind Carson, Mya kicks the back of his knee, once again trying to knock the troll down.
(Called Shot, Knockdown attack. (5d6.hits(5)=2))
Karaden
Gres doesn't show many signs of real injury, though there could be some internal damage from Carson's fist. Andrensath can't manage too much for him without proper training or gear, but a good slap on the face seems to do wonders for him.(Gres recovers 3 stun boxes and revives. Anyone who asks cause him to take 3 unresisted stun boxes. He can start doing stuff next round.)

Mya meanwhile manages to land a solid kick on Carson's leg, but just can't seem to bring the massive troll. Her training was in the area of firing a weapon, not hand to hand, and that lack of training seems to be showing.
Oenone
As the giant troll seems to slow down Alexei smiles wolfishly, then begins hammering away at Carsons chest with a flurry of rapid blows in an attempt to smash ribs and pulp organs.

(4 hits causing 5P damage + net successes.)

[ Spoiler ]
Andrensath
Cursing her lack of skill in melee, Mya kicks Carson once again, this time aiming for the troll's tailbone.
(Called shot, DV3S (6d6.hits(5)=1))
Karaden
Alexie's punch hurts. It feels very much like punching a steel wall, but even so it has pushed Carson back, drawing the breath from his lungs for a moment, a look of pain flashing over his face for a moment. The slight stumble only adds more umph to Mya's kick. Mya can feel pain shoot down her foot as she kicks his mobile mass, but manages to send him forward again.

Carson is beginning to look distinctly injured and much worse off for this fight, but that isn't going to stop him just yet. He positivly howls as he brings his fist toward Alexie yet again. Despite his injuries, he manages to move his fist with surprising speed.

(5 hits, 10P (you know the net hits part, I won't bore you with it))
Oenone
Alexei's luck couldn't hold forever and finally one of Carsons punches connects, slamming into his ork opponent. Despite the massive force of the punch Alexei is somehow still standing after a blow which would have dropped a lesser ork.

(Four hits total on block + 8 hits on damage resistance test.)
[ Spoiler ]
Mickle5125
Dryden mutters in Italian to himself. Anyone who can speak Italian within hearing distance is learning quite an impressive array of curses, all aimed at his throwing abilities today. He attempts to quickdraw a card to throw, but isn't quite able to get the card free of the deck. When he does, he quickly slings it at Carson.

(Quickdraw: [2,1,3,4,2,1] = (0). Quickdraw fails.
Attack Roll: [2,4,5,6,4,2,6,4] = (3). damage= 5P + net hits)
Karaden
Carson can't completely get away from the card, but he does manage to bring up a heavily armored arm into its path, and it bounces off like... like a playing card. He doesn't seem particularly bothered with it and quickly returns his attention to Alexie.
