Full Version: Ghoul Rules?

A buddy of mine really wants to play a ghoul in the game I'm starting coming this Wednesday, but we didn't have rules. I found out the rules are in the new "Runner's Companion", but my local gaming store won't get me my copy for another two weeks.

Can someone PLEASE contact me and let me know how it's done? I'm not asking anyone to break copyright and post it here for all to see, just want someone to get ahold of me personally with just that info.

Thanks a million people!

Seriously though, just start him out as a normal metahuman and design a run where he gets infected after your Gaming Store gets your copy of Runner's Companion in stock, just have him save 35 BP so he can buy the necessary Quality.

Brilliant!

Actually, our GM did something similar with SURGE...gave the PCs a new 10 pt Flaw not related to Surge to cover Level 2, and then cackled evilly...(Strange thing is: This has turned out to be a plot point..and, the flaw is something that was likely to happen from the story, anyway...I love Falchion-style Evil GMs...)

Reminds me of the time about 16 years ago when one of our GMs asked "how old are your characters?", and then the youngest one goblinized. Fortunately it wasn't me, I'd have hated such stuff.

Agreed, that would have rubbed me the wrong way as well, I'm a "well shit happens" DM, but things that aren't reversable with time and Nuyen like golbinization and (I believe) SURGE really shouldn't be heaped on a character without a willing player UNLESS it was somwthing that the character managed to bring upon himself.

got to agree there, doing changes to a character thru gm fiat oversteps the player/gm bondary imo...
