White Knight

I mention Kross as he's the only one I've got so far. Generally, however, what do people think of Series 2 of the Shadowrun Duels figures - both as artwork and in the game.
Kross (Mob Enforcer, although I think he looks more like a bodyguard) is an ork dressed in a suit with an kevlar jacket, MGL-6, twin Browning Ultrapowers and a set of headphones. Of all the figures in the shop, he clearly looked the best although that might be my pro-ork bias. It might be the suit, it gives him an air of coolness. The jacket took a while to go on as it doesn't stretch over the hip equipment peg very well. It looks OK but not quite as good as the suit alone would. However, it has holsters for the ultrapowers which go a long way towards making up for that. The overall effect id pretty spiffy. My only real complaint is that the pegless hands are moulded to hold the ultrapowers so both sets look odd holding nothing (partially solved by lifting the arm to make it look like he's beckoning to some one to come closer).
I don't know how good he is in play as I've never managed to play the game. They're just pieces of art for the moment.
Generally, the orks still have dermal bone deposits and dewclaws (both of which I find silly). Worse, though, is the look of the Dwarf. I like Dwarves generally but didn't pick up Silver Max (Series 1) for some reason. The Series 2 Dwarf, Draven von Drekill, is wearing chainmail! Chainmail! He has a long beard, a helmet and armour and (I think) a large axe. For some reason this gets on my nerves. What on Earth is he doing dressed like that in a mid-21st century city!? Why do the Dwarves get picked on all the time by Stereotypes'R'Us. (I may still be feeling post The Two Towers rage over mistreatment of Dwarves.) Karkhov (Sam.) and Midnight (Cover Ops) look quite good, although not as good as Kross, while I'm ambivalent regarding Wolf Nev (Gang Boss) and Natokah (Shaman).

i just picked up kross and wolf nev yesterday. i haven't played them yet, but like you i bought kross for the coolness, and wolf because we use that character in our shadowrun campaign as a guy called wreck(also, before he was used, we called the picture of him "smash face")
one thing i do hate is the dew claw. thats just plain silly.
if you get a chance, look under wolf's right boot...ech.

i have the first series and kharkov (prototype, yay!) and i have to say taht i think kharkov is the coolest one i own. I think some of the 2nd series ones are cool looking too though, maybe even cooler (speaking of kross mainly, but nakatoah and nev 2)
the orks are pretty screwed up as far as i am concerned, what with the claw and deposits, those and the bouncers cyber are my only ork problems. Also i would like to add that i think that the guy silver max is cool, i like that size/shape for dwarves, they are not like midgets or anything, prolly bigger tahn humans as far as mass. The von drek guy looks like the worst figure in the 3 series theyve shown, he might as well be a dnd figure from how he looks.
also the chicks' movment is really sad, especially when compared to figures like kharkov, who generally moves well. All the ladies look cool though, and i just use all the figures as art, so no prob

Kross is pretty good in game, due to his proficiency with Short-Range (Blue) weapons. If you get Kross, Silver Max and Midnight can help round out his blue weaponry quite well, Max contributing with his 2-point 1d6Blue Pistol and Midnight contributing her 2-point 1d6Blue SMG and 4-point 1d4Black + 1d4 Blue Smoke Grenade belt. Add in Kross' own Grenade launcher and you have yourself a Min/Maxed Short Range miracle. Even though Midnight might have better Short-range abilities, Kross can take more punishment and has better stats.
So yeah, Kross is good

Is Natoka actually worth four points (suggesting that he could take two two-pointers single-handedly)? I know that Lothan wasn't, he was bested by both Liada and G-Dogg...
Also, what do we have in terms of range machines now? Anyone capable of standing toe-to-toe to Liada and Kyushi in a sniping war at 24 inches?

Meesh. Kyushi and Liada still both have eight inches of range over any figure in existence. Since Black can be combined with any other attack, tossing some cheap D4 Black gear on them could ensure that their opponents wind up naked and mostly dead by the time they finally close to combat range on the pair.

Haven't actually played with him yet, but Natoka looks potentially pretty nasty with that 7 attack value and a +1 in both red and green dice.

Nataoka is pretty mean, from the looks of it, though if properly armed with White/Black/Red dice I believe that Liada could make short work of him.
On a side note, all of my comments assume a nigh-infinite playing area, as we're perfectly content to chase each other around the house over here. If you play on a 5 foot by 5 foot table, which I believe is the suggestion, Liada goes from being perhaps the most powerful character in the game to a rather mediocre one.
