Dingo - "The Smoke"/London - The Safe House

<<@Jack [Dingo] Hey boss, do you know anyone local who might be able to hook us up with a handful of drones? I need to get my hands on a few drones without answering too many questions...>>

Dingo glances over to Nix as he slips into basic AR mode. "So, mate, my basic guess, based on the condition of the place, is that our boy knew he was going somewhere and chose to leave. I'm not so sure where or why yet."
Redjack
Nix pulls out a chair and sits down at the table. "That theory is pretty high on my list... but we need to get some proof." Looking down at the bullet, then back at Dingo he sighs. "and that means getting in that house."
Mickle5125
"His central node is in long-trip mode. Grocery order is put on hold, etc etc. but no clues as to the where or why of his trip. Good news is that, if our friend can get us a micro-tapper and some repeater drones, I should be able to hijack that sniper drone. Then we just have to deal with the fire breathin' doggies and the rest of the menagerie."

<<<<@Dingo [ Jack] Get you set up right fast boyo. Only two questions:Wacha need and when ya' want it? Everything else is simply a matter of price.>>>>
Mickle5125
<<@Jack [Dingo] need a Micro-Tapper Bug and a couple Repeater Drones. Nothing too exotic, ya know. how long do you think it'll take to get them?>>
Redjack
Nix perks up. "Grocery order is on hold? That is the best evidence we have yet." He waits a moment, then shaking his head in confirmation of committing to a plan. "I need in that house... in the meat."
Mickle5125

Dingo nods. "Well, I'll do my best to get you in there. I think we need to swing out near the area one more time so that I can take one of the long-range flyspies out to see if I can spot the drone. If I can, then I might be able to see how it gets orders. Once I know that, I can hack the sonuvabitch and use it for puppy control if we need. for now, I'm in contact with our little friend, trying to get ahold of some drones that might make it easier to hack. And we're still waitin on word back from my associates on whether they have anyone they can hire out as sub-contractors..."

<<<<@Dingo[Jack] Can possibly get you set within twenty four hours with a heat under my man. I'll see what he has to say about it. The little'un would be the tough one.>>>>

Dingo - "The Smoke"/ London - Safe House

Working through his connections and going over the lay of the area around the manner, dingo gets a page, Halcyon's number coming up.

<<<@Dingo[Halcyon] Hey there m'lad, ready for that chit chat? I'll get your boy on the line. He's standing by.>>>>

Russel - Home Flat - London

Waiting in his chair, a quick message pops up on Russel's AR.
<<<@R[Leo] Connection's comin' up in a quick sec. This'll be your man for work. Let me know if you're needin' anythin' after.>>>
Mickle5125
Dingo grins at Nix. "Speak o' the devil... Our newest recruits on the line. You wanna take lead on this one while I provide matrix overwatch?" He waits for Nix to be ready for the conversation before sending a reply to Halcyon.

<<@Halcyon[Dingo] All ready on this end, mate. Thanks!>>

While he waits for Hal to patch them through, he hacks out a quick message to Jack.

<<@Jack[Dingo] Sounds good to me, mate. I'm not too picky about the source, as long as it's quick and fairly priced. Thanks.>>

Dingo/Russel - Comm call

After a few moments of line shifting, two comm lines are connected, Dingo's call connecting to Russel's line in his flat, the phone ringing.
Gloin
Russel wakes up alert, checking his surroundings when phone goes off. After a quick check that Jonas is occupied and checking that the call log says it isn't some other random person, he settles himself in his office and answers, "You've got Fix. Got a problem need solving?"
Redjack
Nix - "The Smoke"/ London - Safe House

Nix snaps out of his meditative state, finally cognizant of the beeping comlink.
<<@Russel/Dingo [Nix] Congratulations to have made it this far. You come highly recommended, but I'd like to hear from you about what you bring to the table to fill our needs for a well traveled local who functions well as discreet muscle.>>

Nix' thoughts are still on the details provided by Dingo. Is one enough?
Gloin
<<@Nix[Russel] When and where?>>
Redjack
<<@Russel/Dingo [Nix] Let's start with the 'what do you bring to the table' now and we'll move on from there.>>
Mickle5125

<<@Nix [Dingo] Overwatch is watching over. I'm gonna take a peak at this guy's 'link. Shall I be polite for now?>>
Redjack
<<@Dingo [Nix] For now. Once we get a little further in the process, you can give it the once over and insure it doesn't become a weak link in our matrix security.>>
Gloin
Russel mentally sighs at having to give out information without getting his chance to collect his own. He makes sure his comlink is actively scanning for intruders before continuing,

<<@Nix[Russel] Discrete muscle, like you're looking for. I'm good from the shadows and in the front line, depends on what the case calls for. No offense, but this is more info than I usually give up not in person. So I repeat, when and where?>>
Redjack
Nix pulls up a map of the area. What a screwy layout for a city....

<<@Russel/Dingo [Nix] Be at The Ship in two hours.>>

<<@Dingo [Nix] Scout out The Lambeth Walk and we'll have him meet us there. The Ship gets him in the neighborhood and gives us the advantage if the meet goes sideways.>>
Gloin
<<@Nix[Russel] Copy that, 2 hours.>>

Now having a destination and time frame, Russel pulls up his London Mapsoft to figure out the best vantage point to watch the street and get as many escape routes as feasible.

[Mapsoft-London(6) + Logic(4) = [2 hits]

With that done, he pulls on his armor with street clothes over and straps on his travelling gear. After grabbing his work bag and checking on Jonas once more, he sets out in his car to get to the meeting place.

Once there, up till 15 minutes before the meeting time, Russel stays in the shadows checking for any lookouts and confirming the escape routes are still available.
Redjack
Nix rides in with Dingo to the The Lambeth Walk, arriving about the same time Russel arrives at the The Ship. He summons a watcher to provide astral over watch and puts his physical mask in place before exiting the vehicle. Once inside, he finds a table where he can face the door while Dingo does his thing.

Fix - London - The Ship - 0100
The night is late and the night life doing well for its self when Fix arrives at the location. The restaurant and bar crowd seems lively, although there doesn't seem to be anyone paying any particular attention to him.

Nicks - London - The Lambeth Walk
It's quite this late at night with the bar donig most of the business and a few people dancing poorly, if energetically. Nix finds himself a good spot with a small tip to the waiter, with a complimentary glass of water thrown in, since he made such a good impression.
Gloin
With no further directions from Nix, Russel moves into The Ship and finds a spot near the bar where he can watch the door and stay out of the way. A quick drink order later he takes up his spot and waits for the next step.
Mickle5125

<<@Nix [Dingo] Our boy's growing up so fast! He's already visiting the ship. Isn't he adorable?>>

Redjack
Watching the video stream for a few minutes, Nix replies.
<<@Dingo [Nix] Something like that. Assuming everything is clear, send him on in.>>

Nix checks the time, then reviews the data on this run. Time to do something.
Mickle5125
<<@Russell [Overwatch] Well hello there, lad. Your friendly neighborhood Overwatch here. Listen, there's been a slight change of plans. Some unsavory sorts have been spotted around The Ship. Have a drink, then head over to The Lambeth Walk. I'll let you know if there's any trouble heading your way.>>
Gloin
<<@Overwatch[Russell] Lambeth Walk, right.>>

After finishing his drink and a quite double check of the bar area, he sets back out into the night.

A quick map check later and Russel sets out at an easy pace, contemplating this new job. Why do these rookies always feel the need to make the new guy run through hoops. A thorough background check, secure location and adequate area security is much more effective than sending people all over town; just wastes time. Oh well, important to let them think they're in charge.
Mickle5125

<<@Nix[Overwatch] On his way. Told him there were unsavory sorts snooping. Want me to rustle up some unsavory sorts to creeper-stalk him?>>

Gloin
Keeping a subtle eye for a tail, he heads down the street to the Lambeth Walk. After admiring the fact that this place is still standing after all these years, he heads in to get a drink and waits at the bar keeping an eye out for anyone who could be Nix.
fistandantilus4.0
The place is busy but not over crowded, the air alive with the general buzz of conversation. While there are a number of people looking with varying levels of interest in Fix's direction, no one seems to be signalling or paying too much mind.
Mickle5125
<<@Russell [Overwatch] Alrighty, lad. Third booth on your left. Say hello to our HR department.>>

<<@Nix [Overwatch] Our boyo just walked in.>>

Dingo stays parked in a nearby lot, trusting his drones and the nearby cameras to keep him alerted to any possible problems in the real world while he keeps an eye out for them in the Matrix.
Gloin
Once he gets a fix on the contact, Russell heads over to sit with Nix. Before sitting, he does a quick search of Nix and the booth for hidden threats.

6 successes

"Nice to finally meet you in person. I hear you need some work done."
Redjack
The slender, Caucasian elf with dirty blonde hair sitting at the table casually watches Russell enter the bar and nods as he reaches the table. Nix then gestures for him to sit.

"I hear the fish and chips here are divine."

<<@Russell [HR] We are in the middle of locating a person who has gone missing. Currently, said individual has not been reported missing for there is some measure of discretion in the investigation. We also have to bypass some security to continue our investigation. Pay is 15,000 nuyen.gif, double that if we find him in the next five days. You in?>>

<<@Overwatch [Nix] No tails or tags?>>

Nix casually scans the astral while they talk.
Mickle5125
<<@Nix [Overwatch] Nothing yet. Looks like a stray. I'm doing a careful scan now.>>

Gloin
"Ah London and its deep fry. So, how's work treating you? Been a while."

<<@HR[Fix] Please, call me Fix. Job sounds acceptable, what do you need me for specifically?>>
Redjack
"Good... or at least good enough. Been out of town." The elf continues to engage in meaningless small talk while the real conversation continues silently in the matrix.

<<@Fix [HR] We're going to make a run at infiltrating the residence. There are some security measures currently automated that will need to be dealt with. There will be both matrix over-watch as well as magical. In this current step, your role will be to negate physical defenses. When you leave here, a car will pick you up. In route you will meet up with Nix and Dingo.>>

As the conversation casually continues, Nix moves his astral gaze to the newest member of the team.
Gloin
Fix continues with the minor banter, as he keeps an eye on 'HR's mannerisms (inflection, gestures, etc) in case he's under a disguise.

[4,6,4,2,1,4,5,4,5,6,3] = 4 hits.

<<@HR[Fix] Sounds fine for now, though I reserve the right to walk away at any time up to arriving at the residence. I will need a more detailed description of the known area and threats, but if that is everything I'd say we're in business.>>
Redjack
As the food arrives and the conversation continues, Nix remains nonchalant. He does pause and smile at the last comment, placing his elbows on the table with his palms together in front of his chin for a moment to subconsciously signify a pause in the fluid nature of the negotiations.

<<@Fix [HR] Now, we both know that's not how it works. Once we give you the details, there is a mutual commitment... and at 15-30k for the job, we are expressing a significant commitment. The residence security is considerable and there are a lot of unknowns, hence the sizable reward. If you are in, I can call for the car and the rest of the details the team has will be made available to you...?>>
Gloin
<<@HR[Fix] Which is understandable, but you have given me quite the small amount of information thus far. While that is acceptable, should I find that this job is completely outside of our capabilities, and no sufficient steps are taken, I will leave. I am a man of my word, but I do not sign up for suicide missions. For now, however, I'm in.
Redjack
The meal finished, he pushes the plate away.

<<@Fix [HR] Agreed. I am of the understanding that your associates are not in this to commit suicide either.>>

He transfers nuyen to pay for tab and leave a tip as he rises.

<<@Fix [HR] In four minutes a car will meet you out front.>>

He proceeds through the establishment and out into the night.
<<@Overwatch [HR] Keep tabs on Fix. I'll head down the street and round the block. Dial me into a spot where I can change my appearance once more before transferring to the vehicle. Have the other one pick him up. You and I can meet up with him in route. Sound good?>>

Gloin
With the meal over, and bill paid Fix relaxes slightly once HR leaves and checks his home to see if anyone has entered/exited; making sure Jonas hasn't gone anywhere.

After a couple minutes he heads outside to take in some night air while waiting for the car to arrive, checking the key vantage points for snipers.
Mickle5125
<<@Nix [Overwatch] On it. Follow the glowing blue arrow to a convenient location!>>

Dingo creates the aforementioned blue arrow to and guides Nix to a nice, isolated location. Meanwhile, he drives the van around to the location to wait for Nix to find and focuses on guiding the other car to pick up Fix.

<<@Fix [Overwatch] Impressive. It normally takes a little longer for him to accept someone. Your car's waiting outside. Passenger side window's down. >>
Gloin
When the mentioned car rolls up, Fix climbs inside making sure no one is hiding in the back. After ensuring his side rig is available, he relaxing in the car with his arm propped in the open window ensuring it stays open.

'Time to see how deep this one goes.'
Redjack
Once in the van, with the door closed, Nix drops the physical mask. I need a sustaining Foci for that.

He pulls up an ARO map and marks a spot, en route, a few miles away.
<<@Dingo [Nix] I'm taking a bit of a leap of faith with this guy, but he didn't rub me the wrong way like that last one. Let's rendezvous here and consolidate into one vehicle. Have the second one follow up in case the incursion goes sour and we need an alternate exit. Also, can you set us up a TeamNetŠ?>>
Mickle5125
Dingo starts both cars moving and directs them to the designated spot.

<<@Nix [Dingo] We're on our way. Gonna say hi with your real face?>>

Once the cars reach their destination, he parks them near each other and unlocks the doors.

<<@TeamNet [Dingo] Well, gentlemen, the moment of truth. Who's ready to say hi?!>>
Gloin
Before climbing out, Fix sets his comlink to record voice and visual samples of these people to send to Droc. Stepping out of the car he quickly sizes up the other person, getting a feel for his physical capabilities while visually scanning his dimensions.

"Ah, Nix I presume. Pleasure to meet you in person, I hope it wasn't too much an inconvenience."
Redjack
Nix take the jab in stride, with a smile. "Precautions are... inconvenient... but necessary."

He gestures to an empty seat in the vehicle for Fix. Nix is an elf of strong native American heritage with white hair just past his shoulders. He is wearing a chameleon suit, all except for the mask. A pair of flat black goggles hang from his neck and there are bulges in the cargo pants pockets. He is taller and not as lean as the elf from the meeting earlier. Nix in turn takes in the various visual details of the new team member. "Do we need to make a detour for you to procure additional gear?"
Mickle5125

Dingo waves to Fix as he gets into the car. He's a heavily cybered Elf of Irish descent. His foot bounces impatiently as he absently flicks his fingers in the direction of the other car, sending it down the street.

"Evenin', mate! Have a nice trip so far? This rabbit hole's goin' quite a ways deeper..." He laughs and holds out his hand. "The name's Dingo."

Gloin
"Nice to meet you Dingo." Fix says as he shakes his hand, while scanning him to send for recognition.

Fix is an orc of medium build and height, with brown hair and eyes and a deep tan complection earned from a lot of time under the sun. At his leg seems to be a large knife, and he has a small gun at his hip.

"The additional gear will depend what we're planning on doing right now. I have a work bag nearby, but if we're planning to do the job now I'll need time to get adequate gear. So, anyone else popping up?"
Redjack
Nix internally reflects on how much Fix reminds him of Caliph at first glance. A moment of nostalgia passes over the elf as he thinks of the number of teammates who have come and gone in the past decades. He then extends a hand to the ork, "Nix. It's just the three of us for this evening. If we need others, we'll look for more contractors, by task." He looks over at Dingo then back at Fix before continuing, "Tonight will be a probe and potential penetration of the estate. I expect Physical, matrix, magical and paranormal defenses; hell-hounds on the grounds, perhaps some nasty drones on the perimeter. I would imagine more surprises as well.."
