I found a pretty awesome and comprehensive Sega Genesis website here. It's not yet complete, with a few pages leading to 404s, and I don't really know if it gets updated frequently, but there's quite a bit of information regarding NPCs, Johnsons, matrix combat, etc. Take a look.
