Adam, do you have any plans for a new issue of TSS coming soon? I've always loved TSS and I thought I remembered a post from you a while back saying that you had some stuff in the works. Could you give us a sneak preview of what may be coming?

Yeah. Stuff in the works:
Seattle 2063: In editing. When I get it back, I'm going to slam it through layout and it will - finally - be ready. Good lord, what a dragged out project this has been.
The Shadowrun Supplemental #19: Rural Lifestyle Rules, non-runner sample characters, a new corporation, and some other stuff.
The Shadowrun Supplemental #20: Not sure yet what's going to be in this one.
The Shadowrun Supplemental 1997: A compilation and updating of issues 1-5 into a nice solid book format. This one is a ways off, as there's a lot of work still to do and a bunch of planning that needs to be done. I'm thinking about contracting some art from some of the regular SR artists for this.
The Shadowrun Supplemental 1998-1999: Even further off, this one compiles issues... 7-12, if I remember correctly. I don't have my notes handy.
The Shadowrun Supplemental Vehicles: I just made this up right now, but this will likely include the vehicles from issue #6, plus new stuff. Now that Rigger 3 Revised is out I feel more comfortable about this project; look for some submission guidelines and a call for vehicle editors within a few months.
There's some other stuff that's kicking about; the magazine will have a new logo shortly, and I may be redesigning the look and feel, especially as the compilations will be larger than the normal magazine and having extra on-page navigational elements will help.
We'll probably be asking for donations pretty soon, as well, once I can sort some logistics out. It's gotten to the point where we can't really justify working on TSS without some renumeration, as I could just as easily spend t he time doing freelance work. Hopefully a portion of our readers will be willing to fork out a couple dollars once or twice a year, which we can use to improve the magazine - paying the writers and artists being the first thing on the list.

Would you be open to submissions for the Vehicles book? I've had some ideas kicking around in my head for a while that I'd love throw at you.

Looks like he is.

I have to spend some time looking over the material we have and figuring out the best way to update it [and how much is worth updating and how much is better off trashed] and then figure out what's needed to round out the selection [20 helicopters and no cars isn't much use for the average campaign...] and then any other additional bits and bobs: more mods/customizations for vehicles, alternate rules, etc.

Woo hoo! Rural lifestyle rules are making it into TSS! I never heard back, so I thought maybe TSS was dead and the rural rules just went into a black hole. Happy to see that they'll make it out to the world.

Sorry - I haven't gotten around to sending the "your stuff is going to be in a future issue" mailings for this issue yet. Drop me a mail at tss AT dumpshock.com to remind me, and I'll forward you a copy of the edited article before press.

It's no problem, Adam. I know you're very busy and you do TSS out of the goodness of your heart. I'm happy to know that the writing will be published. I'll try to remind you, but if I see it first in TSS, that's okay too.

Good to hear the TSS is still alive and kicking. It is an excellent resource.

Ok as to donations how are you going to be taking these donations? PayPal?

Just a suggestion, but there was a bit of a discussion around these here parts about large anthroform drones with metahuman pilots being used for special forces work and the like (
here is the thread). What chances are there of such tomfoolery (or similar) making it into the Vehicles Supplemental when it comes around?

The chances would be better if someone actually submitted them.

Well, Would they be welcome? It sounds like you're loaded to the gills with vehicles of no use in most SR games as it is. Right now the S-K Dragoon series I made used a non-canonical '1/2 bench seat' at 3CF and 100kgs to represent a box compartment with extremely limited maneuverability. Could such a mod find its way into the optional rules section too?

I'm not even going to attempt to answer for Adam on this one.

I didn't say that. What I did say is that I needed to spend some time appraising what we do have.

Yes. Write them up in the style of the other seats on p. 153 R3R.

Wow. Cool. That can be done. I'll prep the dragoons for submission at some point too.

By the way, I'll almost certainly want a "Vehicles Editor" for this project; namely, someone who knows R3R damn well and can reality- and game-check the submited vehicles. My grasp of the advanced and fiddly bits of R3R is spotty and I don't have a lot of time myself to experiment with and learn the system more deeply.
If you're interested, let me know.

I woudn't mind giving it a go although I'm sure there are people on these forums who know the rules better than me. The next few months should be OK but I have exams and the like in May/June.

No offence meant to Lilt, but I think consideration should also be given to
grendel and
Anguirel for the editorial position.

NP. None taken. As I said I'm not the best.
