Full Version: Shadowrun 4A / Limited Edition street date

If this has been posted elsewhere, forgive me, I've been unable to find it on Catalyst's website, here, or on Battlecorps.

Is there a street date known for the the SR4A book? I'm anxiously keeping an eye on my mailbox for my Limited Edition. I still like my game books in dead-tree format.

I can't find any info other than the "6-8 weeks" that was originally posted on Battlecorps.

I'm sure someone from CGL will post the street date as soon as they have it. Considering this is the first full-colour book that CGL has done, I'm not surprised that it may be taking longer than usual.

I am pretty sure that CthulhuTech is full color.
Malachi
Fair enough. Has anyone seen the Eclipse Phase core book?

*googles* Oh. Oh my. Please tell me this is real, and not merely an April Fools' joke to which CGL are uncommonly committed. Cthulhu mythos + mecha? I think... wait... no... yes... yes! I AM SEXUALLY AROUSED BY THIS!

We need a sticky that says
"Release Dates Official Policy"

You get them when you get them.

Yeah, I know frown.gif

I just need something to keep me from experiencing "Disappointed Christmas Morning Syndrome" everyday that it DOESN'T come.

And yes, I'm strangely aroused by the whole Cthulhu-tech as well, but sadly haven't had time to really pick up the book or read reviews to see if it's any good.

Amazon lists a street date of August for 4a, so just call it september for the LE.
If anything,it spares you anticipation for a few months.

Wow, that seems like a lot longer time interval between PDF and print than the previous books. Oh well... I have the PDF at least.

We've done other color books; several for BattleTech [including the Box Set], and CthulhuTech.

We'll post the SR4A street date when we have it.

It's no April joke and it is indeed awesome. I had a 'look' at it some time ago and along with the awesome story elements the full-color art did pull me into the game. Sadly I do not have players with which I can play such a system (my players are horrible at horror/fear scenes, they're more comfortable with other styles), but I really love the system! smile.gif

I'm awaiting the next book nearly as much as I await Eclipse Phase...

Yeah, I know what you mean. But I think they're probably trying to get all of the errata into it that they can (as far as organization/spell-checking/error-proofing, etc. since this fandom is so damned rabid wink.gif. The longer it takes, by reason, the better it should be, right? biggrin.gif

Yeah, that's me being a hopeful optimist.

I agree, "when it gets here". I'd really like it to arrive before Gencon as I'd like to get a couple of signatures while I'm there.

Should have done this sooner, sorry. Split out the Cthulhutech chat and put it in General Gaming for those interested. This thread can now get back to our collective whining that we don't have nice shiny LEs in our sweaty gamer hands yet. biggrin.gif

Where's my Anniversary Edition?

(Woohoo, on-topic post!)
Phototoxin
I was in Forbidden Planet in Hampshire (UK one not US) and asked about it. They said Early august (6th or 11th I think..) this year is what's on their database and that it will be around £30.

Dr. Dodge
</rumormongering> Borders has the release date as August 15th in their system </rumormongering>

they pretty much just make this stuff up as far as i can tell but i like to stir up trouble spin.gif
Phototoxin
So its basically mid august then. Wootage biggrin.gif Only 100 days to go!
Murrdox
Mid-August makes me sad, but I'll be able to deal I suppose. I was hoping for June.

If it's out by then hopefully I'll be able to take it to DragonCon and get it signed by the Catalyst crew. Any CGL folks who work on Shadowrun planning on making an appearance this year?
SincereAgape
Hopefully I'll be caught up on my reading by Mid - August grinbig.gif

It plays pretty smooth but it lacks a few toys from SR and it is indeed full color. I own all 3 books.
