Still abit of possibility as not all qualities used up but I'm abit stuck for ideas at the moment.

As a note, you cannot be addicted to nuts. The Addiction quality has to be hooked to a harmful substance. It doesn't even include things that are bad for you like tobacco, sugar, or caffeine. What you want is Compulsive, you could have a mild Compulsion that requires you to cram your face full of nuts whenever they're available. Could be interesting in social situations, J looks down to his dossier to check something. "So, do we have a deal?" *awkward pause, noticing that the furry dwarf guy has just put a whole bowl of nuts in his mouth*

I just can't see a squirrel with Athletics group 2, though. That's pathetically un squirrel-like! You ought to have the natural athlete quality, for +2 to all Athletics rolls. I would further break up the skill group and take Gymnastics and Climbing at 5. Otherwise you're just not meeting the demands of your own concept. Running and swimming are ok, but not as important as being a good climber and jumper, if you want to act like a squirrel.

I would also drop Stealth Group. Shadowing and Disguise are just not that useful. I mean hell, a little squirrel man should have a -5 to both! Palming is ok, but you don't need it. Infiltration you *do* need. Take it at 4(6) (urban). That's pretty important for almost any shadowrun.

I also don't think you'll get much mileage out of mystic armor or power throw. They're just not that useful of powers. I mean, your throwing does DV6, but then you could carry a rifle which, with ExEx could do DV9 with -2 AP, could be silenced, and could be fired at extremely long range... So your choice is, maybe hurt someone with a throwing knife, or blow their head off with a rifle? Doesn't make much sense IMO. And mystic armor is just not enough of a bonus. I'd take away both of those powers, add Combat Sense so you don't get hit in the first place. Not getting hit is a *lot* better than having 4 extra dice to soak -- 4 dice only soaks DV1 on average! And instead of Power Throw, I'd probably either boost Improved Reflexes to 2 (note, SR4A cost is only 2.5!), and/or rack up some improved ability -- probably Improved Ability Gymnastics. Costs only .25 per point, and allows you to be the jumpy little ninja bastard that a SURGEd squirrel ought to be.

No matter how you slice it though, this character could become a lot better by min/maxing. I haven't made any min/max suggestions though, because it looks like you're not going for that. My suggestions are mostly designed to make you more effective within your own theme, because there's a lot more you could do if you minimized some of your attributes, took a bit of cyber/bio, and shuffled your skills around.

Ok, I just about snarfed my drink when I read that line!

This is the 6th world. There has just GOT to be some kind of Awakened or hallucinogenic acorn that would quallify for that disadvantage, and if it TASTED about the same as a conventional nut, could EASILY lead to a propensity to always be munching normal nuts when they aren't after their fix...

Dead on.

I say levels in Great Leap wouldn't be out-of-place, either. Another idea might be to take Koborokuru (they can MOVE!) or Gnome (size) over normal Dwarf. Overall, I am highly ammused by the idea (that's not a criticism, BTW). I need to point this one out to my GM, because I think he'd hurt himself laughing at the idea.

Power Throw maxes at out at 3 ranks, and only costs .25 per rank (.75 total).
Mystic Armor is too expensive for what it does. For the same price, you can get Combat Sense at 4 instead.

Lansdren
Thank you for all the suggestions so far, I'd like to think the concept is something abit silly but abit fun too and as you can see from the start converting this into stats and skills is not my strong point.

I love the idea of the Koborokuru variant and it fits in so nicely.

Skill wise here's the updates following the advice above

Name Rating Specialisation Cost
Unarmed 4 Claws 18
Gymnastics 4 16
Climbing 4 16
Infiltration 4 Urban 18
Palming 2 8
First Aid 2 8
Long Arms 3 Sports Rifles 14
Negotiation 1 Bartering 6
Survival 2 8
Pilot (Ground Craft) 1 Bike 6
Perception 1 Free

And adept skills here

Name Level Cost
Improved Reflexes 2 2.5
Combat Sense 3 1.5
Great Leap 2 0.5
Free Fall 2 0.5

Free fall wasn't in the advice but thinking about it with all the ability to climb and jump landing would come into it as some point as well

I also rethought the qualities here's what I have so far

Name P Or N Cost Notes
Adept P 5 Gives ability to use PP equal to magic stat
Hawk eye P 5 Reduces range modifiers by one level
Changeling P 10 Must now choose 20 positive qualities as a changeling plus 10 negative changeling qualities
Compulsive N -5 Addiction to Nuts cant stop stuffing his face
Distinctive Style N -5 Has a tail
Compulsive N -10 Steals small things and hoards them (doesn’t have to be food)

Couple of questions,

Would you except someone with two compulsions as long as they were roleplayed and were actually used not just there for the points?
Have I been abit conservative with the distinctive style qualit,y would you except a higher negative as well being a small furry, amber eyed, tail having fidgety nut stuffing crazy with a rifle might be noticeable?

Larme
I don't think there's anything wrong with two compulsions. I don't think you can get points for distinctive style though, you automatically have that flaw by being a metavariant and a changeling. If you wanted points for distinctive style, it would have to be for something above and beyond being a metavariant changeling, like dressing in a particular distinctive way or something.
Wasabi
The adept power "Nimble Fingers" would be very squirrel-ly IMO.
[street magic, p179]

Gliding might as also be squirrel-ly.
