Has anyone tried creating a new spell that they wouldn't mind sharing? Mind you, this is for new spells, not just modifications on canon spells?
Ancient History
Expiration Date (Active, Directional) [Detection]
Type: M * Range: T * Duration: S * DV: (F÷2)–2
This spell allows the subject to determine the time of death for any corpse or biological remains within range of the sense. The results of the spell are according to the table below.

1 hit - Knows if the subject died within the last hour, and the specific time of death
2 hits - Knows if the subject died within the last day, and if so the specific hour
3 hits - Knows if the subject died within the last month, and if so the specific day
4 hits - Knows if the subject died within the last year, and if so the specific date
5 hits - Knows the year the subject died

Mageblade (Physical)
Type: P • Range: Caster • Duration: S • DV: (F÷2)-3

This spell creates a crude "blade" out of the same glowing magical energy found in spells such as Armor and Physical Barrier, which extends from the caster's grip, providing a Reach of 1. The Damage Value for such blades is based on the character’s (STR/2 + net hits scored on the Spellcasting Test)P with AP 0.

To use the blade, the caster makes an Agility + Blades Success Test versus the target’s Reaction + Dodge or Melee Weapon skill. If the target fails to dodge, the target then resists damage with Body + Impact armor.

This blade cannot be involuntarily removed from the caster's hand by any method, but the spell ends immediately (as a Free Action) if the caster attempts to voluntarily release it. The blade has Armor and Structure ratings equal to the Force of the spell and can be destroyed by physical attacks with a called shot, which receives a –4 dice pool modifier on the attack, but as long as it is sustained it regenerates damage quickly—any reductions in Structure Rating are restored at the beginning of the next Combat Turn. If the blade is sundered, however, it collapses and the spell ends. The Mageblade cannot be used on the astral plane.

This spells affects both living and non-living targets.

Oh, with the emphasis on the name I thought it was for finding out whether the soy-spam went bad.  spin.gif

Could we modify this spell and say it does both?  rotfl.gif

Maelstrome
manipulate (matter) i no longer remember the drain but it was pretty bad.

allows the control of the shape, hardness, sharpness, and movement of a particular type pf matter.controling hardness changes the barrier rating or armor rating anywhere between 0 and the force of the spell. controlling sharpness changes the dv of the object between 0 and the force of the spell.controlling shape is obvious.controlling movement works like the fling and levitate spells.

Could you work out the mechanics and post it as a standard spell entry?

Metahuman Form (Physical)
Type: P • Range: LOS • Duration: S • DV: (F ÷ 2) +2
(Metatype) Form (Physical)
Type: P • Range: T • Duration: S • DV: (F ÷ 2) + 1

Metahuman Form transforms a voluntary subject into one of the standard metatypes that comprise metahumanity, though the subject retains its own consciousness. This form is the same gender as the caster and generally shares other traits as well—eyes of the same color, skin color of similar shade , distinctive scars and injuries, tattoos, piercings, etc...

False Dracomorphosis (Physical)
Type: P • Range: Caster • Duration: S • DV: (F ÷ 2) - 1

False Dracomorphosis transforms the caster into the form of a small western dragon, though the subject retains human consciousness. This form is the same gender as the metahuman, and generally shares other traits as well—eyes of the same color, scales tinted with the character’s skin color, distinctive scars and injuries, tattoos, piercings, etc While in dracoform, the character cannot speak (though other vocalizations are possible, from a growl to a hiss) and lacks the manual dexterity to operate most metahuman equipment. A character in dracoform also cannot use ‘trode nets designed for metahumans (including nanopaste trodes). Though the dracoform has large wings, the caster cannot fly without the assistance of other spells, such as Levitate, and does not gain any other abilities common to other dracoforms, including Dual Natured, Elemental Attack, Enhanced Senses, Hardened Armor, or Mystic Armor.

The Force of the spell must equal or exceed the highest (augmented) value of the attributes being affected. The results of the spell are according to the table below, subject to augmented maximums.

1 hit - +1 Body, +1 Strength, and Natural Weapons (STR ÷ 2)P
2 hits - +2 Body and Strength
3 hits - +3 Body and Strength
4 hits - +4 Body and Strength
5 hits - +4 Body, +5 Strength, and +1 Reach

This spell does transform clothing and armor, but not other equipment. Magicians in a false dracoform can still cast spells, but cannot perform other tasks requiring speech.

Got a few but there all SR3 format, you seem to want SR4? And well its late and I ve been drinking...so a tad lazy. If you dont mind the edition, I'll write them up manyana.

Go for it. Spells are absurdly easy to convert, even if they have 3E quirks abusing the old learning/force system.
