It's my turn to GM and we're back to SR, and I want to give an introductory run (we've got a pair of new players) and a few "later on" before moving to the main area, before giving them a whack of karma and nuyen to spend as I adore my higher power campaigns. But I've got no clue on the numbers. I'm thinking of giving them a Shadowrun a month in the "down time" - which rounds out to about 50k divided amongst the team and 3 karma, for 36 karma and 100k nuyen per player per year of lapsed time.

Anyone done it before and run into problems? What numbers did you use?

Personally the few times I've done this I've just made up whatever numbers seemed to make sense as opposed to running any formula.

That seems about right, that what, 2500 Nuyen/Karma?
