Shadow: Cool. Sorry about the edges and flaws thing, but they often get in the way when you're just starting out. I've had newer character gen people send me characters with like -30 in flaws and expect that to be okay with me!!

Mana Child: You can't have an elf at priority D for Race. Must be priority C for an Elf or a Troll. Check what you did with NSRCG and make sure you haven't made a mistake somewhere.

Sure ... if you can't get NSRCG to work, just make sure you get me all of your information. I usually hang onto them for NPCs of different games. Also, I have characters approved from Ditaki and Mana Child, so I'm waiting on you and Shadow to get me information.

I saw your post in the other forum. I'll probably be including an NPC that can act as a pure fighter so don't worry too much about combat unless you want to (like Mana Child did).

Yeah, tell me about it kevyn. I remember when I made my decker. I had TWO calculators going at one time, and I was about to scrounge for a third. There are so many things to keep track of with deckers.

IC Thread Started

I did something a little different than many other games, I put the contact about the job only coming into one member of the group. I thought it made a little bit of sense since only Hook and Silent had contacts that I know of (so far).

From here on out, if you need to make an out of character comment or ask a question in the IC thread, please mark it as such with <<OOC>> or or something like that.

As for rolls, I'll be making all of them, but unlike other games, I'm going to make them public. I'm also going to be describing how I got the TNs and the basic rules that controlled the roll. This should help Mana Child in learning what is happening and why but it's also a good way for Kevyn to learn the decking rules. So, if you want to use a skill or make a roll, post that desire in this thread and I'll make the roll. If there's pool dice or anything to allocate to the roll, please let me know IN ADVANCE what you want to do so that I don't have to ask for that information -- it slows things down.

Technically, Mana Child, you don't know that Silent told you the information, yet. Yes, it's pretty safe to assume that he did so since the fixer said that Silent's friends were invited as well. However, since Alelarith didn't know about the job opportunity, yet, your post was out of chronological order.

I don't really mind though, but depending on the GM this could be concidered bad form since it was a little bit of metagaming -- that is using information that you as a person know to determine the actions of your character, even though your character may not be privy to that information.

Hold on there Mana Child. The others haven't had a chance to do anything. Plus, you didn't tell me how you got to the equipment to get to the address. In case you don't recognize it's an LTG number which means it's a matrix host. While you do have a datajack, you don't havea deck. So, posting a little bit about how Alelarith got to a computer and where he used one etc. is customary.

Have you read some of the other games that are going on online right now? Try reading IC: Cage Fight or even IC: the Mafia Affair. The first one by krishcane has some of the best roleplaying -- especially the character named Rat -- and the second one is my other game and I'm having a blast with the way those players are working out.

Until Silent tells the rest of the group that he's got a job opportunity, Mana Child doesn't even know anything's going on. Unfortunately, since Leowulf was still working on his gear last night, I guess he didn't notice or didn't have time to post to the IC thread.

That's okay -- part of why I threw it out at you right away. An LTG is a local telecommunications grid -- essentially a small part of the Internet that is local to a specific area; in this case, Seattle.

So, to get the information at the node, you'll need a computer. There are Matrix Cafes that allow matrix access for a price, you can usually use computers at a public library, but they're not the best gear. A lot of parks might have datajacks for you to use, but then you often need your own gear. Hell, if you just come up with a creative new idea that I haven't thought of I'll go along with it. Nice part about games on the boards is that if you go in a direction I haven't thought of, I have time to deal with any paperwork that I need to do unlike in the RL where it just starts flowing off the top of my head.

Edit the post if you want to, but i don't really mind. If there are a few mistakes in the posts that's okay.

Oh about the Alelarith goth thing.

Shes a goth in the sense of eye shadow and nail polish and general appearence. The thing that puts her apart from most goths is that she has no visible pearcings............. but dont get the idea that she has any at all i just put it that way to make you wonder but i actually come to think about it dont want you to wonder.... LOL!

Shes really into heavy music especially thrash, Nu Metal, Industrial Metal (think from our days perspective: Marilyn Manson, Sevendust, Adema, Korn, Nine Inch Nails, Slipknot, Murder Dolls, Coal Chamber etc.

Shes also a writer of horror fiction.. more information on that later.

You can always use a taxi or the bus. The bus probably won't get you all the way to the Jack of all Spades because it's a little too close to the barrens for it to be safe for the bus driver. But you can get a taxi driver to get you there.

Mallard doesn't have a car. Or even the Car skill....what happend to our wheel man?

Dropped. I wouldn't worry about it. I won't be harsh with taxi rides and the like because of that.
