The ECD's been approved as is, Mack's cool....
As for the associations, with Mack it could be as simple as her having attended a function Tristan was dragged to by Katie... the runners don't have to be chummy, there just has to be some association...

Some one should take the lead in the negotiations. Manny is smart enough to know that he's not the guy to do the talking here. If we need to get into a seedy nightclub or get a wino to tell us about the last guys who came down this alley, I'm your guy, but dealing with a Johnson on a virtual chessboard......?

Wow, having an Ice Queen Face is pretty cool!
On a side note: I can post for the rest of today but I'm going out of town to visit a lady friend so I probably won't be able to post until Monday. Is that going to be a problem?
Digital Heroin
Feb 12 2004, 02:32 PM
Shouldn't be too much of a problem, the meet'll likely be over by then, but that's all good....

The meet seems to be in capable hands. Tristan has some high social skills but negotiation isn't one of them. Besides, all the questions/stipulations/reservations I had about the run were addressed before I could post them.

Back on the subject of how our characters know each other, Stitch has an O.R.C. member contact with loose ties to the Ork Underground, a Club Habitue' contact, and the closest he has to a tribal contact is a Cascade Ork Smuggler. He has other contacts, but those three seemed the likeliest as far as ties to the other runners go.
But keep in mind, he is also a runner specializing in combining mundane and magical first aid, and unlike your average street doc, he can go right to the firefight to help you. It's likely he has at least casually met a good number of runners.

Manny has an Cascade Ork shaman ex-smuggler contact, and bartenders at two of the coolest clubs in the Sprawl (Penumbra and Underworld 93). Maybe we've never met but I know two or three of your contacts?
kevyn668
Feb 18 2004, 07:25 PM
Glyph: you and I are good to go. Tristan has a club habitue contact as well and does a fair amount of clubbing.
Bearclaw: I think we already covered this but "ditto".
Dashifen: Pili has underground contacts, yes? That as good a way as any to to have met Stitch.
Grey

Cougar could know Pili and Stitch through the Underground as well.

I think the best way would be that Tristan and Mack met at a politically driven dinner hosted by a wealthy family in Bellvue Proper. Of course, Mack was not introduced by her real name, nor did she give any indication as to her true career at that event. In fact, Tristan will probably be quite surprised to find her working the shadows at all as she had given a perfect performance as a political advisor.

Is there any information as to who is footing the bill on the chips? Before I ask our host, I want to make sure it's not available on chip.
Digital Heroin
Mar 2 2004, 02:46 AM
The chips are clean certified cred, no indication of who's handled it. Good as cash and ten times as portable.
That number sounds about right to me as well, for the amount on them.
Blitz
Mar 2 2004, 04:10 PM
No no...not the credsticks the optical chips. I meant...who's paying to have him extracted.
Digital Heroin
Mar 3 2004, 02:02 AM
As he indicated, the optical chips show that he is funding the extraction. There is no tell of who the corporation doing the pickup is, though by the presense of the saraman, one of the Japancorps would be a good guess.

What is the access level of the cards we were given?
Digital Heroin
Mar 5 2004, 11:24 PM
Employee cards. They'll get a person into just about anywhere on the second floor save security offices, and into the apartment complex as well, though each person has an individual entry system to their apartment.
Aside from the usual servant drones that come with a suite of this calibre, there are no transmissions that could be associated with a surveillance drone or a bug.

I head of it from Elfie, a roommate of mine, who thinks he saw it in a movie. But, it could have been taken from that movie by someone else and then used in a shadowrun as well.

After getting Norman to pick them up in his cab, Manny will stop by the closest place to buy any designers version of the Aramente armored suit. If he's gonna try to play corporator, he should at least look like a successful one.
Then, it's south to Payalup and Madam Mei's. After that, it's over to Lucy's (my fixer) and then out to Underworld 93, where anywhere between 1 and 4 of my contacts will be. Lastly, out to Tacoma to talk to Dante, my former mage detective buddy. We can work Tristans contacts into that however is necessary.
