I'm going nuts trying to find the full color UBH advertisement that was in a 1st edition book. I know I've seen it before, but the only thing I can think of is that it is in the Virtual Realities 1.0 book which I don't have.
I'm throwing together some rules "packets" for my new players and I've sprinkled in several of the "advertisements" that appear in the various source books. The campaign will start in 2050 and these are fresh players to SR.
I'm going to keep the UBH as this constant low level background "flavor" kinda of like the Salvation Army Santa outside the mall. I love seeding horrible things in nice packages early on. I'm even contemplating having them run into Mr. Darke if I can find a nice way to tie it in and set the stage for an eventual WTF moment.
Anyways, if someone could point me in the direction of that advertisement I'd appreciate it.

Wasn't that just the inside front cover of the "fiction" book of the UB adventure?
In any case, it isn't any of the color panels of VR (or the Seattle Sourcebook, which was my first guess when you mentioned "color ads").

Gah, I've got Missing Blood but not the other half so I wouldn't know.

There is one in the London Sourcebook... [runs down the celler]... the last colour plate between page 32 and page 33.
And there is a black/white advert in the Germany Sourcebook, page 151.
There are two in the Universal Brotherhood package, one in Missing Blood page 53-54, and basically the same one, this time in colour, as the cover for the big datafile/handout. The colour cover for the handout is not included in the PDF version of the UB.

Nope. I just ran and checked, and the only color plates in VR are the Fuchi tour of the matrix pages. Larsine's list is more exhaustive than anything I could have come up with without leafing through all the books, so I'm no more help to you than that, sorry!
