level as in BP level ?

no as in available value a gear has, the books says per standard only gear with a Avail value of 12 or lower is allowed to be bought at character creation but that a GM can deside to lower or increase that limit.

Your ogre can't get into the Maximum Security Building unless the pipes leak. I'd say we need a more focused Infiltrator. For many places, an ork wearing a janitor's suit is often going to go unquestioned. But when we need to get further past that... I'm a little bit more limited. I'll see what I can do to cover the entire spectrum.

the ability to use magic is like being ambidextrous, just because you can cast spell doesn´t mean you always have to be the guy in a nice suit standing the background throwing fireballs, magic is just another tool free to be used as a person wish.

btw I hope you have the Street Magic book, there is a nice spell there for a sniper.

Are we at 400 + 50 or just 450 BP?

At 450, our max points in stats are 225, but if we're a spellcaster, we're capped at 12 spells.

If we're at 400 + 50, we're at 200 in stats, but we can use the 50 to buy spells...

Which is it?

It's 450 BP, what should 400+50 BP be? 400 BP + 50 Karma would make sense, but 400 BP + 50 BP is just 450 BP.
There are no two steps in which to use BP, just one.

I think the intent/desire is that it's a house rule that takes away some of the restrictions adherent to the build point system. Such as the limitation on the number of spells selected (up to 10 more at 5 BP a pop), the amount of build points you can use on your attributes (which would be up to 200+50), how many points you can spend on resources (100+50), or any combination thereof. The same goes for any other restrictions based on a limit to BP spending, but not things like Availability ratings.

But yes, it's definitely a house rule either way.

my main intent was to enable the 'special forces' aspect of the build , I originally thought about just making it for skills, but the builds seem unbalanced when I did a few test ones.

Just giving 450 BP raises the attribute limit to 220, but that is a good thing, IMHO, as the characters should have higher attributes overall, it's just 2 points, anyways.

Couple more questions, would you accept 'Met Police' as a Spec of Ettiquette, and the Distinctive Style Quality for the character who insists on always wearing his polished police badge?

That doesn't strike me as a good idea for someone who is supposed to work covertly.

I was thinking along these lines. According to this, they use the PSG1, which in Shadowrun is the ancestor of the PSG Enforcer, the rifle my character uses.

My sheet has to wait til the weekend. I've got it all on a word document. I'll email my background though.
