Full Version: Trying to recall an old mission

Hey, all. Occasional lurker here trying to get back into the swing of things. I'm looking to tap into the mass knowledgebase that is the Dumpshock forum.

I recall having read (a few years ago, maybe) of a mission that entailed a new drink being marketed at orks, however, it was a toxin created by a pro-human group.

Does this ring any bells to anyone? I did a cursory search through the official missions (but haven't yet had time to fully engage in them), and tried some basic Googling, but to no avail.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Isn't that one of the short stories in one of the base books? They made a mission out of that?

Ah sorry that i can't help.. just ignore me.

That sounds like the introductory fiction of the original printing of the SR4 rulebook (the one by FanPro).

Buzz cola. Chug the Bomb!

(which is from the intro story to SR4)

Buzzkill, the first page of the SR4 core rule book. Not exactly a designed to be ran mission, but there it is.

There was also a story like that published by DC Comics, a drink that affected meta-humans (super-powered guys)

It was not converted to a Mission in any fashion to my knowledge, but yes it was the introductory fiction to the SR4 book.

You folks are brilliant. Thank you. I really only go through the fluff when I first acquire a book. Totally forgot to look there.

So much for launching a group on that idea, since at least two of my four have 4e.

Cheers!
