Full Version: Denver ID Cards
Dumpshock Forums > Discussion > Shadowrun

Was digging around in boxes of old gaming stuff, love bringing back stuff from years ago in current games. Pulled out Denver box set after recently seeing reference to dragons in Denver. Pulled the maps out and the two ID cards that came in the box were still there. Remember years ago someone told me there were ID cards for all the sectors but only two were put in each box. Were there ID cards for the other sectors?

edit: Sorry got cut off some and crooked, tried several times but my ancient scanner wouldn't cooperate.

There's a similar thread somewhere in the archives of this site....AH, can you help?
FlakJacket
There was a page with all of the different sector passes on it plus the German ones they gave out at SPIEL in Essen over a few years but it seems to have gone down since I went there last. Hopefully someone thought to save the images to their computer.
BookWyrm
I printed a picture of the set out a while back, but I don't have it in my computer files.

THIS may be the thread I was thnking of, but the site won't display the picture(s).

Paging Ancient History! We need a little help here!

Now theres an old thread. Too bad links not good anymore. Winterhawks press passes are definitely cool, I like the artist playing the Nerps ball.

The reason why the page don't show the images, is because my internet provider has taken all the pages down. It was based on old technology, and they did give us fair warning.

I will however upload them to http://rpg.geekdo.com/ under the Denver entry http://rpg.geekdo.com/rpgitem/52577/denver...city-of-shadows

It will take some time before they are approved.

So I've uploaded the passes to rpg.geekdo.com, but they were declined because they don't accept scans of every part of a product ohplease.gif

I'm allowed to upload a single picture of all the passes, but unfortunately I don't own all the passes, and can't make a single picture.

I'll see if I can finde somewhere else to post the passes, and maybe include the passes from the Spiel convention.

What about combining your individual images into a single picture in a graphics program ?

Unless they are digital photographs at weird angles—making the badges distorted trapezoids—I would be happy to do the work (and upload it to RPG-Geek) if you send me your scans.
Freejack
You're welcome to send them to me as well. I'll post them up on shadowrun.us.

The cards were cool, made of plastic only a little less thick than real creidit cards, I loved the ' sector rules' on the back and the faux mag strip. I keep my cards in my office at home. I have, not had but have, Aztlan and Pueblo. I'd hoped for the Confederacy but at least I didn't get Ute and Aztlan-then I'd have two useless cards.
Larsine
Anybody that want the passes, either for personal use, or to post on a page, can send me a mail on l-hansen @ post4 . tele . dk (remove the spaces).

In any case I've been given most of the scans from members of the old shadowrn mailing list.

There is the front and rear of the 6 denver passes and the front of 6 Spiel/Essen passes.

Yes, those are the ones. Larsine & sds, you both have done well..

Ok, I snagged those, ones from one of the links, and scanned my own cards in as well. I also made an attempt to translate from German (I used Babelfish). It's very rough but should provide an idea of what it means smile.gif

I'd never seen the German cards before. I do wonderr about the "Deal with the Dragon" lines on the SK cards though
Tyro
Thank you!

A little later than the others, but I also cleaned up a few of the images:
Many thanks to those who had archived them previously.

Because automated translations are atrocious, the German cards read (in this order):

Security clearance alpha 3

Test department for experimental matrix safety measures
[sideway] [Finger-] Print electronically readable

Central
Helgoland
"Evolution was yesterday"
Special operations team for biogenetic incidents
(With special permission for weapon usage in defence of corporate property)

[Sidebar] Clearance
[sideways] If this field turns red, proceed to the nearest security central immediately
PR Departement
The bearer of this ID is authorized to make press statements and release selected information on behalf of Saeder-Krupp. A gamma permit is required for access to special service archives.

Central Research Coordination
This ID authorizes for access to all labratories rated x3 and above. Access to research facilities of y rating requires additional permit. Inspection of reports up to level 8 is to be allowed under any circumstances.

[sidebar] & [sideways]: Again, see above
