Mana Child
Aley turns to silent and brushes her soft black heair against the side of his neck he then whispers in his ear "were getting payed already?, we havent even done the job yet, we could practically walk away from this and never do the job" she chuckles and puts a finger on silents lips "no talking now" "Shhh" she then closes in and kisses silent on the mouth the kiss lasts for about 10 seconds, she then turns around with a cheeky smile on her face.

Mallard watches the display and shakes his head, "Get a room. Er, get a different room than this one."
Mana Child
Aley Pulls a face "dont you start sweetie, if youd like we could wait until you go into another room then we could follow you and that would be a different room"

Aley smirks at her own pathetic humour and turns around to silent again.
Mana Child
Aley then grabs silent by the hand "lets start interveiwing these people"
Leowulf
Silent smiles at Alelarith when she kisses him and whispers back to her, "If we take the money and run, Alan won't be happy, and Jimmy will be most unhappy. Jimmy I don't care. Alan gets us jobs though. Getting the money up front will be good for us, since we can use it for expenses."

With a fiendish smile, Silent says, "We would also miss any action that this adventure might have."

At all of the bantering, Silent clears his throat and says, "Right, well let's get to work as soon as he gives us our money."
Dashifen
@All
Jimmy returns to the room after about four minutes. He enters holding a fist full of five credsticks, "Here you go. 5,000 on each of them. If you want to check them, you can use the reader by the door. Who wants to see the vault?"

[ Spoiler ]

Jimmy heads out and you all follow. He moves through the main room of the casino and you see some lucky fellow dancing by the craps table. Jimmy sighs, and shakes his head as if to say, "Why me?!"

Moving on, you reach a door with a sign reading "Employees Only" on it. Jimmy pulls out a card and slots it in the reader. A small red dot changes to green and the sound of the door unlocking can be heard. "Only I and the bankers have this card. But it's not a very high rating lock, so this could have been broken."

He leads you on into a hallway. There are a few offices on either side, but there is a large door at the end. Before it there is an obvious pressure plate. The floor raises about an inch, probably on springs or compressed gas, so that when a person steps on the plate, it is pushed down and the alarm is triggered. It's older technology but should still be effective.

Jimmy moves up to the plate, but doesn't step on it. Next to it is a small communications unit. Holding in a button, Jimmy says, "My name is James Lincoln. My voice is my passport, verify me." Again, a small red light turns green and then Jimmy steps onto the pressure plate. "The plate is off now until it sense that there's no more pressure on it. There's a similar unit inside the vault for when you leave." Pulling another card from his wallet, he slots it on the vault door which opens ponderously swining inside the room. He beckons you all into the vault before stepping in after you.

"Here's the vault. No windows, no doors other than that one, and no money. If you step on the pressure plate without disengaging it with the voice print analyzer, then this room fills with gas when you get into it. It's just a knockout gas, nothing lethal, but it'll keep you asleep for a few hours. More than enough time to let the gas disipate and then get inside and arrest any theives. However, the gas was never set off that night, so we can only assume that the system was hijacked."

"Look around as much as you want to."
kevyn668
"Thanks, Jimmy. Okay team, lets do it. I'll start with the lock." Mallard takes out a small tool kit and moves to the lock

[ Spoiler ]

"The rest of you should do some astral scans and whatever else your good at."
Dashifen
@Mallard
Moving over to the lock you take a look at it. It seems like a standard piece of equipment. There's a slot for the card and the indicator light and not much else. You look closer and see two hooks on the bottom. Pushing on them slightly opens the front panel. Behind that you can see some of the board that reads the card as well as the power supply and the wiring for the LEDs, but there's not much else that you can make out. There's no obviously cut wires or dataline taps on anything.

[ Spoiler ]
Mana Child
Aley moves with silent to look around the room.
Dashifen
@Everyone
The room is basically a cube, 10m per side. The floor has a linoleum covering with a light pattern on it, but the walls are a bare, off-white color. The lights are embedded into the ceiling. There are no obvious cameras that you see. There is a second voice-analizer to the left of the door so you can disengage the pressure plate on your way out in case you let the door close.

In the center of the room, reaching about 1.5m above the ground, there are pre-fabricated shelves attached to the floor. The shelves are empty, but the dust on them shows that they recently heald rectaunglar objects of some kind -- probably boxes or cases containing the casino's money.

Against the back wall are a number of steel cabinets. Opening them you see that they're not empty but instead contained labeled boxes. Each box contains unopened boxes of cards, chips, dice, etc. All the necessary items for the running of the casino.

@Aley
You don't see anything on the astral plane. If the theft did occur a few days ago like Jimmy said, then any spells that were cast in the room would have disipated by now. There's no real background count in the area at all.
Mana Child
Aley displaying her disapointment in finding nothing starts pacing the room in disapointment.
Xel naga
Xel naga turns to Jimmy and asks "could they jump over the pressure plate, or levitate."
Dashifen
@Xel Naga
I suppose they could have. You'd have to get the door open first, which could have been difficult if you're jumping, but someone levitating could definately have been above the floor and not tripped the plate.
Mana Child
Aley faces the rest of her team in the room and asks "what will we do now?"
kevyn668
Mallard packs away his kit. "Well, the lock looks clean. Jimmy, who else has been in here since the theft?"
Leowulf
Silent looks around a bit and asks, "Jimmy, did you say whether the security system for this vault is linked to your other one, which is linked to the matrix?"
Dashifen
@Mallard
Me, a few of my employees," he pauses for a moment, thinking. "No one else that I can think of. I don't usually give tours back here."

@Silent
"The other 'vault' is simply a matrix bank. The security's hefty pretty heft, and it's unrelated to mine completely. It was just an ... just an emergency slush fund.

[ Spoiler ]

Still @ Silent
When Jimmy paused for a moment in his answer to you, you notice that his eyes darted up and to the left before coming back to rest on your face as he finished his comments.
Leowulf
Silent turns and looks at whatever he thinks Jimmy might have been looking at as he listens to Jimmy speak. He doesn't let it show, but the conversation is beginning to anger him.

There are still some details missing. It's all too convenient.

He asks Jimmy candidly, "Is there anything that you are not telling us about? Remember, we are your contracted employees. You must trust us. The more you tell us, the better our chances of success."
Mana Child
Aley turns and whispers sarcastically to silent, "perhaps i could shoot him in the foot, make him talk alittle more?"
Leowulf
Silent whispers back, saying, "Now, now. Let's not be too hasty. He's paying us."
kevyn668
Mallard chuckles at the tours bit, "Fair enough, Jimmy." He waits for the outcome of the conversation between Silent and Jimmy.
Dashifen
@Silent
Jimmy pauses for a moment before shaking his head slowly. "No, I can't think of anything else you need to know. Oh -- one thing! He," pointing to Xel Naga, "asked about levitation. You should probably know that I have no awakend types on my staff -- too expensive. So mojo was also probably a weakness."
Leowulf
Silent says, "Well, I see two possibilities for the card player. One, he was a mage who had spirits with him, telling him the hands of the other players, and he was sent in because someone knew you had no magical staff. Two, he had other people watching the table for him with hidden cyberware, and he himself had cyberware. Transducers, comm gear, and eye cameras come into play there.

"If you have cameras that recorded the playing room, reviewing the recordings may prove useful, and the recordings of this area might as well, even though you say they were doctored, there may be a frame that reveals something, or a camera time that doesn't make sense to let us know that the recording really was falsified. I would like to review the recordings of your playing room with you, if you have any, Jimmy. I'll need you to point out members of your staff."

At Mallard, Silent asks, "Mallard, do you think you could tell if a recording was legitimate or not? Maybe undo the editing?"
Mana Child
Aley Turns to Jimmy " your mom is a fat ugly pig with rolls of fat that dribble on people, heh i got you there for a second you shoulda seen the look on your face"
Leowulf
Silent watches Jimmy's reaction and then says, "Aley. She has an unusual sense of humor."
Mana Child
"Errr, sometimes i say things that are completely uncalled for in any situation, oh my god i can be an idiot, oh my god oh my god oh my god"

aley starts to hyperventilate "P..pp.."
it then turns into a gasp.
Leowulf
Silent turns his attention back to Jimmy, ignoring Aley's apparent breathing trouble.
Mana Child
aley gives silent a cold face "you think that was *cough* faked?"
Dashifen
Suddenly the world is struck by a whale who until recently had been a flowerpot creating a crater out of what used to be Seattle. Have a nice day.
Mana Child
aley points at dashifen "you you , i want to insult you but i dont want you to hate manachild i would have handled it if you said you had to cancel the game OOC but this is a really shitty way of doing it cuase it gives me memories of myold D&D dm and how much of a shit head he could be as far as ending games or killing off characters nice one Dave."
