The Underworld 93 is almost silent. The fat guy behind the bar has gone home. Two Ork women mop the floors, and a dwarf is working on the stage lighting. From the back of the room, there comes an unmistakable Crack!
Manny watches the 8 ball drop. "Ay puta". He really should have gone to bed before the last game. It's 9:14am. Gore Tusk picks up the 20 from the table, smiles and says "how bout double or nothing".
Manny stops unscrewing his cue, stretches a little, popping his back and shoulders in the process, and says "alright, one more. Then I'm off to bed. Crap, I really need some work."

Just an FYI...I usually can't post till the evenings with a few exceptions during the day, and my weekends (fri, sat) are usually booked so you wont seen weekend posts until sunday for me.

Also...Lude is my awakened tailor...so he can turn basic armor into custom made designs. He has sorcery 8 with Fashion and Makeover both at force 8.

It's all good folks... all I ask is a post a day on weekdays, and one on weekends... even then I'm cool if you miss some, as long as it's not re-occuring without a shout to me as to why it's goin' on...

Was there anything on the envelope itself that would identify the sender? Basically any markings at all would provide some information. Or, maybe I won't care after reading the letter?

Would Electronics 4 tell me what the hell the message means? Cause I can't make heads or tails of it.

Maybe its the decryption code for the LTG?

You can gather that it's a time, and an LTG/Host address... the third number still eludes you with the electronics roll.

So, since we were asked to do this earlier, and barely even tried, let's try again.

I'm going to assume yes, and we should work out why.

I didn't think that we all knew each other, just that some of us did. Doesn't really matter to me in the long run, but it's up to DH.

I thought I'd sent a general on this thread about the 15 Karma, if not I appologize...

As for the links, it'd be nice to have some ties with characters... a web through which they'd all be at least "friend of a friend" of eachother... working together in the past isn't required...

Well, here's the quick breakdown of Tristan's past:

He started on the street, worked w/ a few gangs, recriuted by the mob, dated mob's captain's daughter, said mob captian offered him a boat load of cash to buzz, Tristan took the cash, got set up in a swanky pad in Belvue, started to run shadows officially....

So we have possible gang ties, possible organized crime ties, possible high society ties, and general shadow ties.

Anyone have any connections in those fields, let me know.

Manny's got lots of gang ties. He's run with several gangs in Payalup, even after he became affiliated with the Triads.
He's also got contacts working at Penumbra and Underworld 93, if that works.

I honestly can't imagine mack knowing any of you.

Manny sounds like the best probiblity. One of Tristan's new hobbies is "slumming" w/ the other rich kids. (okay, so its not really slumming for him, but you get the idea). Underworld and Penumbra would both be excelent locales for first contact. Either directly or through one of your connections. Either way works for me.

Plus, from my IC post it looks like they already know eachother. If Manny knows any one else in the group, Tristan could know them by association and vice versa.

What kind of circles does Mack move in that she doesn't have organized crime, high society, low life, or shadow connections? Straight corp? I thought Mack was the Face. One of my contacts is a retired corp exec. We could stretch on that if needs be.

She has many contacts, but they are usually one way. Meaning, she knows them, but rarely gets chumming with their other contacts. She has friends in the political arena, just about every mafia organization (triad, yaks, italians, russians) several corp contacts, the standard shadowfair (deckers etc) and a fair number of law enforcement personel.

It's more of a fact that, reading all your histories, I can't see Mack being involved in any of them. The few she is chummy with are very unlikely to be involved with the characters Ive seen posted.

I don't really see Cougar knowing anyone either, unless you have some contact within the Orc Underground.

You know they erratted the ECD, right?

ECD?? You mean the Chipjack driver? It's not exactly errated, but it's been completely reworked in the new man and machine. However, I assumed that since it wasn't mentioned that we're using the latest edition that we were still on the common version. (I don't know of any GM's that have migrated to the new edition yet. I haven't even been able to get the new book yet.) If we're using the new man & machine changes, I'd have to completely redesign Mack since bioware is handled completely differently. Since there was no mention when I turned the character in, I assumed it was ok.
