You're not the first to make that analogy regarding Pfizer. The father of an old friend of mine is a Exec with them. The bad thing is, I can't think of anyone who fit the Corp Johnson stereotype better. Even worse, this behavior mentioned in the article sounds just about like what I would have expected them to be up to.

Speaking of pfizer, I found out yesterday that I drive by pfizer on my way to/from work.

I think pfizer might also be one our clients...I'm not sure (Genentech is...and Vox Medica, and a few others)

and the whole "set up a sister corp for falling on sword" seems like the kind of mindscrew thats becoming more and more popular with suits. Just observe the mess that is CDO and CDS. Heck, just reading how selling "short" works makes me think the whole system is out of control (borrowing something of value, sell it, wait for the price to drop, buy it back, hand it back to who you borrowed it from, pocket the profits). And basically, the CDO+CDS setup was a advanced version of selling short.
