Oh yea. The best part is that you don't need to wait until someone is slotting skillwires. If you look at the ARE software you'll see it's just a big Reality Filter program that wageslaves use to make their work life suck less. You can make a Hacking roll to force your own Reality Filter on people, and if you did it carefully enough, they wouldn't even notice. If you planned ahead, you could infect the commlinks of a series of employees at a corporation so their ARE software edits your runners out as they sneak into the building. Combine that with the holographic projectors, or a Psychotropic Reality Filter program, and you can be Hypnotoad.

My personal favorite... hack the psych database... then edit the AR software on a target's commlink so when you need it you can spring AR spam of their deepest fears if possible (nothing like suddenly springing spiders everywhere in a speeding car to cause a target to wreck...) or have a mage drop a illusion on them (preferably the mana only ones so the recorders don't catch it)

One of my most favourite characters ever was suffering from the Clonal Pluralization syndrome. He was a military mage gone AWOL and Bug City veteran who believed that he had left another copy of himself at the CZ. The other players suspected him to be some delusional free spirit flesh form-thing and never turned their backs towards him

or....so be really evil.....have them get captured....so the standard VR recondition....get let out of prison and go about they business...perhasp getting back into the running biz...then in the middle of the run....get jacked out by buddies extracting them.....get pulled out of the prison and got through several forms of hell....then have the Sim shut down officially with KE and the local prosecutor signign the offical papers.
