Panzergeist
Greg hastily answers his phone. "Uh, Tom, I'm over at the college with Gil and Nat, and we are about to fight a really nasty spirit. Could use some backup." Sure, NOW he is available.
Lilt
"What the drek? I'm on my way!"

Magic isn't the sort of thing to joke about. Especially not a really nasty spirit... Tom dons his clothes to a level of moderate decency, grabs his gear, grabs his fedora, and dives down the stairs to his car.

Giving the autonav some initial instructions, he dons the last of his clothing before applying pedal-to-metal as much as he dares without drawing lonestar attention to himself.

It'd be a nice night, barely any smog and quite warm, shame about the neck-height drekpool...
toturi
"We don't have time to wait, people. While we are talking, a girl's life is at risk. I suggest we get a move on and hope the calvary get here on time. A good plan now is better than a perfect plan tomorrow."
Panzergeist
"Very true," Greg replies. "Tom will have to miss out." He pulls out one of his single-dose inhalers of jazz and sticks it into a nostril, releasing the stimulant chemical into his bloodstream. "Alright, I'm ready. I'll bust down the door, and run at a diagonal angle to the spirit to distract it and get out of your way. Gill, you follow behind me, step to the side of the door once you go through it, and shoot it with your gun. Nat, you come last, and hit it with magic." Greg runs up to the door and kicks it down.
Darkest Angel
"Frag it. Just keep it busy at least, I'll cover you from any spells it might use, and grab the girl."
Nikoli
Greg, Gil and Natalya
Greg's assault on the door is not without result, the door groans and shifts inward a good bit. From the looks of things, one more good shot will unhinge it completely and grant access, but rest assured that without some serious carpentry, this door will never open normally again.
More clearly now all of you can hear the screams of a young lady inside as well as some low, unearthly sound not a moan, not a groan, but defintiely rhythmic, almost but not quite like breathing.
Nikoli
Greg
Losing your temper you begin to strike the door repeatedly, with one final kick, it seems to give and fall to the ground.
Panzergeist
Greg, starting to feel the psychological effects of the jazz, runs through the door, yelling "Bring it on!" Fortunately, he has the presence of mind to move to the side once he gets through the door so that he doesn't block Gil and Natalya's line of fire.
toturi
Gil moves into the cafeteria to the opposite side of Greg. His weapon is combat ready and all senses are straining to the max. Scanning quickly around the hall, he attempts to pick out both the spirit and the girl.
Darkest Angel
Nat looks back into the astral and focuses her mind on spell defence for everyone, and heads to put herself between the girl and the spirit.
Nikoli
Gil, Greg, and Natalya
The hair on your neck stands as you are all quite sure you are not alone.
Suddenly, from around the corner you see the limp body of someone in a security uniform being hurled against the wall to your right, the form crumples with a crunch that threatens to make you wretch; from here you cannot be sure if the person is alive, but if they are, they won't be for long. The guard was holding a flashlight, that fell to the ground shortly before impact and now it slowly rolls in a circle, casting it's harsh reality through the hall, a demented lighthouse on the coast of some hellish shore.
As the light moves through the space, you see no other living thing, the girl must be nearby, just not in the open. The light continues it's fell path around, lighting up the guard's face, it is Otto, the gaurd that helped you from before.
From the left, you see trays and chairs being moved, slowly, deliberately, something is moving through the room coming out from behind cover.
The hall is too dark to see clearly at the moment.

Gil, you notice to your immediate left a small panel that was left open, a guards key-set dangles uselessly from the door and a series of switches can be just made out.
Natalya
You can see the astral form of a young man, he seems eviscerated, the once athletic body seems to be held together with rage and solitude. Standing next to you is Delia, you notice the faint outline of something new to her tormented form. You aren't sure what it is exactly, but if you concentrated a moment you are sure it could become more clear. You can also just make out the spark of life still within Otto, though you are certain it is soon to be extinguished should he not receive help soon.
Greg
You can't see the force moving the trays, but you have the utmost certain feeling it is looing at you. Malevolence seems to wash over your tweaking brain, it hasn't attacked yet, but it isn't likely to be too long.
toturi
Gil reaches for the switch panel and turns on the lights. "And God said,'Let there be light.'"
Darkest Angel
Nat takes a second to take a closer look at Delia...
Nikoli
Gil
The lights flicker into existence, there is food smeared everywhere on the walls, spelling out words like: "Alone", "Pain", "Kill", "Murder", "Dispair".

Natalya
Delia seems to be using a spirit power, readying herself to attack the malevolent spectre. Might be some form of Spirit armor. She seems ready to fight by your side in this struggle.
toturi
"Well, someone had themselves a foodfight... And real lousy spelling too," after reading the word "Dispair".
Panzergeist
Extending his spurs, Greg crouches behind a table and scans the room, looking for their hidden enemy. "Where is it? We'll mutilate the bastard!"
toturi
"Call the shots, Nat. You tag him, we'll bag'm."
Darkest Angel
"He's astral, you can't hurt him... and he can't hurt you. Let's just get these people out of here." Nat drops herself from astral space and heads over to the girl.
toturi
Gil starts to go over to Otto and examine him.
Panzergeist
Greg starts to feel a bit aprehensive after seeing the security guard tossed across the room. He decides that avoiding combat might in fact be preferable to getting tossed across the room. Running over to the downed guard, he retracts his spurs, pulls out his medkit, and takes a careful look at the broken man, looking for fractures. "We can't move him like this. He probably has spinal injuries."
Nikoli
Greg
As you approach the guard, the presence behind you becomes more palpable. You can see the guards eyes widen looking at something just to your left, and behind you.

Natalya and Gil
As your see Greg begin to move towards Otto, the air near where Greg was standing begins to shimmer and a bloodied form becomes visible. It appears to be another spirit, like Delia, but twisted somehow, as though something was missing; definitely dystolic in nature. His eyes gleam with rage as his vision becomes fixed on Gil.
Panzergeist
Seeing the guard's eyes focus behind him, Greg drops the medkit, extends his spurs once again, and spins around into a combat crouch, expecting to see the spirit behind him.
Darkest Angel
As the spirit manifests, Nat's eagerness to get the girl out turns to anger, and with new found resolve she turns to confront the spirit.

"Haven't you done enough damage?!" she yells at the manifest form "Get out of here!"
toturi
Gil's Aikido training has enabled him to sharpen his force of will into a iron hard weapon, he doesn't blink even as the spirit focuses on him.

"I abjure you, foul spirit. Leave us be and trouble this place no more."
Nikoli
Gil
Visibly forced back from the onslaught of your will, the entity reels back in a semblence of pain. You can feel feeble emotions trying to push back, but noting seems to be affecting you.

Natalya
You add your will to Gil's, abjuring the entity, forcing it back further. With the two of you censuring it, it has no chance.

All in the Cafeteria
The entity howls silently in pain from the attack. Delia seems to be covering her ears, but the living have no need of this. The spirit seems to fold in on itself, becomming nothing more than more background count.

You hear a slight moaning from around the corner where the entity began to manifest.
toturi
"Nat, do a thorough astral scan, if you please. Let's make sure this astral fragger is gone."

"Greg, when was the last time you went for a first aid refresher course? Let me help you with that."
Darkest Angel
Nat looks into the astral to check the threat has gone for now.
Nikoli
Natalya
Your astral senses sweep the area, finding no sign that the entity yet exists, though the astral seems different here, something about this building drove that entity you think. Something is here that made it act this way. Perhaps you should further invetigate.

Panzergeist
Greg picks up his dropped medkit and goes to work on the guard. "I'm fine. Go check where that noise came from; it could be another wounded person."
Nikoli
Greg
From you vantage point, when you reached for the kit, you would see the thin blood trail on the floor, damned flourescents must have hidden it in the glare. You can defintely see the trail goes through a couple of swinging doors that cafeteria's have used, since before there was a word for them.
You begin working on stabalizing the guard. His neck worries you considerably, there is an odd bulge to the side and his breathing is shallow. You're able to make him more comfortable, easing his breathing a bit, but his injuries are beyound your means at the moment. Injuries include: Possible fracture in the neck (How he is alive seems a mystery), there is a rasp to his breathing, with the beginings of a septic smell, an infection is definitely in the onset, and you're pretty sure his uniform is too dark to be healthy, perhaps a broken rib, or a puncture somewhere.
Panzergeist
"Yeah, his neck's broken," Greg says. "We can't move him yet. Nat, can you cast a healing spell on this guy?"
Darkest Angel
"Is he stable?" Nat asks, somewhat distracted by the astral changes.
toturi
Gil moves slowly towards the moaning sounds from where the spirit disappeared. He keeps scanning around him for anything out of the ordinary. He is alert and not convinced that the spirit was defeated so easily.
Nikoli
Gil
You're pretty sure the moaning is coming from behind the doors, to the left or right you can't be certain. If that's the kitchen, there could be any number of surfaces for the sound to jumble across, distorting any location. The air seems still in the cafeteria, behind you you hear Natalya and Greg, you can even almost hear Delia, sobbing on the floor next to Natalya. There doesn't seem to be anything else in the place. You can also just barely smell something, smells good, like someone cooking in a fancy restaurant, the type that serves real meat. You think it might be sausage or bacon, hard to tell with all the smells from the food smeared on the walls.
toturi
Gil makes his way to the doors and tries to open them.
Nikoli
Gil
the door pushes inward easily. Following the blood, you find a sandal, the left one, a small purse, a cast iron skillet, that seems to have been snapped in half lengthwise, and finally a scared young lady. She's sobbing uncontrollably. Her left leg appears to be bleeding a bit from a compound fracture in her thigh, there's a tourniquette tied above it. She looks at you in amazement. There is a sizzling sound to your right.
Panzergeist
"Yeah," Greg replies, "He's stable, as long as we don't move him. But he really needs magical healing, and even then I only want to move him on a stretcher so we don't jostle his neck around."
Darkest Angel
"Right, I just wanted to make sure I used the right spell."

Nat leaves the astral and heads over to the guard, rests her hand on his neck gently and casts heal.
toturi
Gil turns to look at the sizzling sound...
Nikoli
Greg and Natalya
As the spell flows into Otto, you see the lump in his neck slide back where it belongs, with a mildly disturbing wet pop. His breathing also becomes much easier. He looks up at you Greg.

Gil
There seems to be bacon on the griddle, used to spell something out.
"Help us"
toturi
Gil grimaces, "Oh drek...", turns to the young lady on the floor and says,"Miss, you are alright now. Miss, take a deep breathe and calm down please. Come on, let me take a look at that..."

Gil carefully examines the lady's leg. "Greg, I'm gonna need that medikit!" he shouts.
Panzergeist
Greg happily looks upon Otto's healed neck. "Can you move you neck on your own? That would mean we can-" He is jarred from this pleasant train of thought by Gil. "Coming!" he says as he rushes back to the kitchen.
Nikoli
Gil
You hear Greg enter the kitchen area behind you as you try and calm the young lady down. She seems terified beyond her capacity to deal effectively for the moment.

Greg
The smell of cooking flesh seems to assault your face as you push through the doors, you hear Gil speaking in low tones and quickly make your way to him and the young lady.

Natalya
Otto smiles feebly at you as he tries to sit up, his life no longer in immediate danger.
"I'm glad I didn't run you guys off earlier."
Smiling back at him, you get a flash of something half remembered when the smell of cooking hits you half felt.
Before you is what can only be described as a nightmare, a young male form, obviously athletic, is strung up by it's heels. The head, hands and feet are removed and the ankles are pierced by a large hook. Then the vision is gone.
Panzergeist
Greg runs past Gil and goes to work on the girls leg. Shoving the bone back into a close approximation of straightness, he fumbles around a bit before applying a splint and bandage and injects the girl with artificial endorphins. "Gil, call us a couple ambulances. In fact, call the donut munchers too."
Nikoli
Gil and Greg
As Greg begins to work on Vanessa's leg, she howls in pain. At least you know she's alive for certain, and not too deep in shock. She gives Greg such a look, then her eyes glaze over as the meds kick in. The bone manages to come together, though with the smell of cooking meat and the wet pop of the bone sliding in, you're not sure how you are keeping dinner down.

Natalya
Otto is still smiling at you as you see the shock of the last few minutes over take him, he lays his head down and begins to sleep, he snores slightly. From where your partners have gone, you hear a scream of pain followed by a quick wet pop, and Otto wakes up a little bit, rolls over and goes back to sleep. In the distance you think you hear a faint siren.
toturi
Gil gets up and leaves as Greg comes to help Vanessa. He carefully examines the "crime scene".
Nikoli
Gil
As you examine the kitchen area, there is a box labeled "I can't believe it's not bacon" which is a soy based meat substitute breakfast food, there is an open can of 100% vegetable shortening, a strong 'cooking meat' smell, and no visible print on the knobs. The walls are a riot of smeared grease and various nastiness from, you suppose, the deep fryer which appears to be to low on oil for it's own good. In the eating area, there is more food product smeared on the walls, all of which appear to be frying based food, like donuts, sausage, chicken patties, bacon, etc though one other odd thing, there is coffee grounds, which have nothing to do with fried foods mixed in at times. There is a clear path of debris, where the entity seemed to have moved. There are also small spatters of blood, possibly from the break in Vanessa's leg and the damage done to Otto before his short flight across the room. You also find a p-sec the cover of which is decorated with various pink things, the apparant doodlings of a feminine mind, along with a small black purse with a loud pink "V" on it.
toturi
Gil carefully puts samples of faux bacon, vegetable shortening and coffee into evidence bags. He tucks the samples into his coverall and picks up the p-sec to look it over.
Nikoli
Gil
On the back of the P-Sec is a label, clearly annoucing that it is the property of V. Phillips.
Darkest Angel
Seeing that Otto has relaxed, Nat heads into the kitchen following the scream.

"Hey, Vanessa isn't it? I'm just going to cast a spell to help your leg heal up ok?"

Nat casts heal

"What happened, how did you end up in here?"
