The intro to Darkest Hour 'reveals' that Jane Foster's employer has been Ehran the Scribe. I put 'reveals' in quotes because the text of Darkest Hour assumes it was obvious from the first entry in the series, Dusk, that Ehran was Jane's handler. This puzzled me. If you reread the intro fiction for Dusk it has Ehran asking Harlequin to get Jane Foster to investigate the theft of the Sextant from DIMR. Given the fact that Jane is Harlequin's apprentice and that, last I checked, Ehran is still hiding his paternity from Jane I figured that Ehran would leave it to Harlequin to be the go-between with Jane. That's why at the end of Dusk when the PC's are given a glimpse of an 'aged' elf in the limo that is waiting for Jane, I just sort of assumed it was Harlequin. Note that the text of that section in Dusk makes *no mention* of the identity of the elf in the limo.
Anyway, not a huge deal, but I was curious if anyone else was fooled by this ambiguity.
