Check this out!

Akira eat your heart out! All it needs is a USAF marking and red paint.

Yamaha Two wheel drive motorcycle

Errata for Rigger 3 anyone?
Kagetenshi
I want Kanada's bike...

Nikoli
The G-Strider looks like the Blitzen
ShadowPhoenix
That G-Strider sure looks wizzer, I'd love to ride around on that. I'd definitely feel in the SR world riding that thing.
L.D
Maybe something like the Hot Wheel!
Nikoli
I remember reading about that thing. I'd so have to resist the urge to tap one riding ont he highway though.
Swansonegger
In 2060, I think my ride would be a tricked out Rascal X. The grandkids can keep the Rapiers and Blitzens. The Rascal X will give me the independence I need!
Nikoli
hehe. VCR 3, Rascal X, panther assault cannon, nes pa'?

The second one...Meh.

The first one?...*50 mP of drool deleted* Awwwwwww, ye-a-a-a-a-a-a-h-h-h-h...
Xirces
Anyone want to knock up the SR stats for the G-Strider 2060?

I'm not a bike fan generally, but that does look fun lick.gif
Phaeton
That thing boots Kaneda's ride out the window...Cooler paint job, imo. biggrin.gif
boodah
Get your interceptor from EnkiWerkz.

0-450kph in ten seconds or its free! (without boost)

Darkest Angel
Blurgh to both. I like curves myself so I'd rather have one of these
Phaeton
*rolls eyes* What in the photo are you exactly referring to by "these", Darkest?
Darkest Angel
Given that I already have a fiance, but no Ducati it'll be the bike. biggrin.gif

I know people with bikes that would like to trade up to that.
I'm married and <deleted for sake of my marriage>

(and I really am only joking)
lodestar
The second bike isn't really that futuristic, but the fact that it is two wheel drive is very interesting. It sounds like the benefits of it far outweigh cost.
Darkest Angel
That's as maybe, but it still looks like it could be any old motocross bike, none of which are anything like as pretty as they are functional.
RangerJoe
Eh, I look at the Hot Wheel and all I can think is, "Papoose."

The G-Strider's cornering lights beg for side-mounted firmpoint weapons. Image doing a little zig-zag to flick on the lights: "This is the left hand pod of doom. This is the right hand pod of doom."
Nikoli
Or, when the owner of said bike is sleeping, install the gyromount and remote rigging gear, along with about 2kg of C-12. Call them up during mid morning commute and vid phone them what was done. then drive them somewhere and hit the button, if they hop off, the bike follows.
Shockwave_IIc
Think i've got a pic in one of my chrome books that looks like the first pic. Still Dodge Tomahawk please......
lodestar
Here you go.

Dunno about the bike, but the music is cool.

Heh, 4-wheeled motocycle with a dodge viper engine. Read about that one last year, man that is a sweet suicide machine.
Voran
Wow that Dodge Tomahawk is rather cool. Nice music too. As a SR bike, I'd probably try to partially enclose it, kinda like the Akira bike, just because I've always had that nightmare about roaring along on a bike and running into a mana barrier. It'd need some armor too, because it really looks like the bike is 50% (at least) engine. Good for speed I imagine, but would be prone to getting shot up a but quicker.

I don't know about the Panther, may be a little hard to fit on this bad boy. Maybe a minigun would be more appropiate. biggrin.gif

Doesn't Fortune have one of these?

Mine's purple, with a camouflage seat cover and neon green fuzzy dice. smile.gif
Kagetenshi
How many launch control systems does it have?

~J
Fortune
That would be telling! nyahnyah.gif wink.gif

A custom project of Kaneda's bike.
Austere Emancipator
Holy crap that's ugly. Even if they're less comfortable, bikes where you lean forward look way cooler.
Shockwave_IIc
Take it there making that for a child. Too small otherwise.

Nah, give me a laid back low-rider anyday!!!!

I just love it when people get creative and build real functioning toys.

Personally, I think a bike like that would handle like crap... too long, not enough room to lean over enough. Even Kenada's bike in Akira look like it wouldn't handle that well, but if it had some kinda gyro stabilizing system, ahhh... maybe. But that project bike would not be a great bike to ride, just for looks. IMHO, anyways

edit: personally, I like this, and am gonna try to pick one up this weekend. Here's hopin

All my SR bikes would be custom jobs from Orange County Choppers. biggrin.gif

25 bps to anyone who gets that reference.
Jaded
Orange County all the way!

The Fire Bike is my favorite so far. Nothing like having a chopper with fire engine sirens!

There is no way a crotch rocket can compare with one of those bad boys when it comes to looks. You pull up into a crowd of people with any race bike and a bic custom chopper and no one would look twice at the racer. <Even though they ARE very cool. They just aren't choppers though.>

LOL! All right! Fellow OC fan. I actually went to the point of making Orange County Choppers, and its crazy employee's contacts for my Rigger character. biggrin.gif

Even I get that reference, and I live in Oz! nyahnyah.gif

They do some awesome custom bike work, although their lame tv show leaves a lot to be desired. smile.gif

That depends, if all there is to your riding is showing up at crowds then by all means, but I think the guys on choppers notice when someone blasts past them on the highway like they were standing still. But then I'm sort of a speed junkie.

A Clockwork Lime
When I design a new bike for a character these days, I like to model them after the Honda Valkyrie Rune. I just like the retro-futuristic vibe of it and think it meshes well with the similar vibe in Shadowrun.
Fahr
Awesome... that is pretty.
hobgoblin
personaly i would got for the one in the starting post (the gray one) but that vakyrie rune would be my second choice (im a sucker for anything with heaps of buttons and electronics smile.gif )
