In addition to wishing one to all who want such, do you think the CAS and/or UCAS still celebrate it? Nothing like a deep fried soy-turkey to celebrate the day, yeah? And don't forget to pass the soy-stuffing.
I can see the megas loving the next day consumer insanity.

I especially wonder if the UCAS would. Since Canada and the US don`t exactly have the same date for Thanksgiving. (In Canada, Thanksgiving is in October)

Yeah, it's just not as popular as it was in the old days. Third world changed some things. The guys over at the NAN view it differently now that they got the reins, but turkey-day is still turkey day. And its not all soy, cause there are some spectcacular birds out there ever since the awakening. Last year, my team got together over a succulant six-legger that must have been seventy pounds (Sammyt Steel geeked it up near Ranier). And you haven't had cooking like Slakjaw's cooking (Slakjaw is our rigger, and yes, he has an oven-rig). Our Shaman put most of us asleep with his rantings about thanking the Great Spirit (for about an hour), and just like old days, there was alot of drinking, a few fights, and somebody ruined a carpet (Disko?).

But what day would it be on in the UCAS? Fourth Thursday of November, or second Tuesday of October?

Isn't it on a Monday in Canada?

I bet its a day of unrest because it reminds all the Anglo's about the shellacking they got from the NAs.

Something like the 4th of July was seen during and after the Vietnam War (or that's the idea passed in that old Tom Cruise movie)?

I was harassing my yank family when they were all "Happy Thanksgiving" and I was saying "Are you nuts? Thanksgiving was weeks ago".

Or as I said to a Canadian friend of mine, "Happy American Thanksgiving, because your's was weeks ago."

I have American friends living nearby. They come to my place for Canadian Thanksgiving, and then I go to theirs for the American. Two Nations under God, celebrating twice the largess of kindly Aboriginals who should have slaughtered the first Europeans, not trained and fed them.
One First Nations acquaintance of mine tells the story:
"That Columbus. He didn't know where he was. He didn't know where he was going. He didn't know where he came from. I think he was an alcoholic.
Good thing he was looking for India, not Turkey. We'd all be called Turkeys, now."

Since they say Canada pretty much got screwed by joining the UCAS i'm guess they have to adapt to the USA date.
