How would you suggest that Blood Circuit Control System and Trauma Damper work together? I know the rules for Platelet Factories and Trauma Damper are well stated and that Blood Circuit Control System and Platelet Factories are very similar in their effects. the only main difference is that Blood Circuit Control System receive an additional +2 to body for damage overflow and stabilization test.

I would normally go with the rules for Platelet Factories and Trauma Damper and have the Trauma Damper go first and then have Blood Circuit Control System kick in, but then i look at the cost in essence and nuyen and think that Blood Circuit Control System should go first and then the Trauma Damper. it just seems a little unbalanced to have Blood Circuit Control System to cost 5 times the amount of essence and 5,000 more nuyen just to get +2 to body for damage overflow and stabilization test. I know that cyberware an bioware do not not always need to balance out but they tend to do a better job than this.

I would treat the Blood Control Circuit exactly the same as the Platelet Factories.

+2 body for damage overflow is a huge benefit (I think its a 10 pt quality to get that normally). A 10 pt quality sounds pretty reasonable for for 5000 nu-yen and a small bit of essence. The +2 body for stabilisation tests isn't bad either!

Edit: I have just noticed a difference between my pdf and written copy. In the written copy it says "...and its effects are not cumulative with that of a trauma damper" as part of the blood circuit control system description. I guess that's very clear!

Thanks for the information. I only have the PDF and did not know the printed version was different. I had checked to see if there was an errata on their web page.

Unfortunately, CGL is notoriously bad about releasing errata.

In my opinion havign the blood control circuit system (BCCS) as more expensive is normal, even if the effect are somewhat similar to the platelet factory : it's a much more complex system.

The platelet factory is a single-point item, which relies on the circulatory system to deliver the goods, the BCCS needs to be spread around. I haven't read the description but I imagine it puts valves (or something similar) at interval on the blood vessels (veins and arteries) to selectively shut down the leaky ones. That's far more complex to install. It's also way more effective than the platelet factory to handle major blood loss. Things like a hit on a large artery where you're bleeding fast enoug hto kill you before clotting can happen.
