I would do that, except for the fact the snow has a layer of ice beneath it, it's now night, and I'm not wanting to be anywhere near that thing when it comes down.

Docs Aura reading test
[ Spoiler ]
Jarrod is much older then he appears. He is magically active but at such a level either he is un aware of it or partially masking it. He is calm and well composed, except for when he mentioned the dragons debt.

My thinking is thus: Hes offering you 1bil, he is saying you need to kill a GD. Does the location of the dragon or anything else he has to say, really affect wether you take the job or not?
Ol' Scratch
Dec 3 2004, 06:02 AM
Yes, mostly because of the "too good to be true" hesitation. OOC, duh, we'd be stupid not to take it. But IC, some dude coming out of nowhere, with no name we recognize, offers us an insane amount of cash to kill a dragon he has yet to name is pretty "why the frag should I do this?"ish.
Shadow
Dec 3 2004, 06:05 AM
Well to me, the reason I would, or would not, take the job, would have to do with what the job is about and how much I am geting paid.
Killing a Great Dragon is going to be such an unbelvably hard job to begin with, that I would take it or not take it on that merrit alone. I mean, are you really going to fret over his name and exact location? Would knowing either of those (assuming it is not Lofwyr) really sway you on wether to kill him or not?
Does that make any sense?
Fortune
Dec 3 2004, 06:13 AM
Thanks for the welcome Shadow!

As for the money, that wouldn't be Danny's prime (or even secondary) motivation ... no matter how high the offer. I would have liked a little more info on why said dragon is considered 'anti-metahuman', but I can understand the Johnson's reluctance to impart more preliminary data than necessary.

Done.
Money is not a concern, considering my guy is pretty much set up for life. But, some guy comes out of nowhere and offers him the highest pay he has ever recieved for a job to kill a great dragon. It's pretty much as Doc Funk said.
If it's not Lofwyr, that means it's less likely to have an entire Megacorporation as a private playtoy and Johnny is more likely to actually live long enough to get the rest of the money.

Reason that a name could definitely sway somebody is who they are.
Example: Lofwyr has all of SK under his wings (literally). One word and they'll be there to protect his scaly ass.
