Unwilling to post any spoilers, this irks me, nevertheless. It's about "Dawn of the Artifacts: Darkest Hour"

If those are not Atzlan government official religion's temples, but Atztech office buildings or arcologies, why not?
Mardrax
Don't have a clue about the actual adventure.
Do know that AZT thinks pyramids are the perfect alternative to "square block of concrete" skyscrapers and plonks them down where they please.
Beside that though, pyramids in some shape or form have existed in a lot of civilisations. It's a simple and sound building shape. Some culture having left a few ziggurats in the region wouldn't surprise me. My knowledge of balkan history doesn't stretch far though.

They are buried and ancient, though. Called the Temple of the Sun. And they are referred to as "Aztek".

In other words, 4th World relics. And since they used to be buried, they don't even has to exist IRL...or rather they do exist, but we don't know about their existence wink.gif

Blame the Bosnian tourism industry.

It's probably Vivane or some Theran city remnants. Vivane is referenced as being around the Balkan/Greece area in Earthdawn and the Aztlaners are the inhertitors of the Theran legacy.
Does that help at all?

Nath has it. Though there is a better link HERE. In short, the info was passed to me as as I was looking for weird stuff in Europe. It fell just outside a city that was in a SR book, so I took it and ran with it.

Real Aztec pyramid, no. 4th world pyramid and relic, maybe.

Awesome, that clears up a lot. Thanks for the link =) Still confused about the "Aztek" mentioning in the adventure, but I'll simply disregard that for my group.

Thank you all for clearing that up for me =) Who ever said you can't learn anything about other countries through SR books? nyahnyah.gif

D2F--If it was spelled with a K at the end, it's probably a typo.

Therans were big into blood magic and pyramids, too. Actually, Thera is what Aztech wants to be when it grows up.
CanRay
Aw, AZT wants to put on the Daddy Pants.

It is properly spelled "Aztec". My bad.
Other than my confusion about the pyramids, you did an excellent job on this adventure, though. Two Thumbs up from me wink.gif
