Mr. Hollis
So, I was at Powell's City of Books yesterday, and I found a copy of the LE sitting on the shelf. As the title has already spoiled, there is something odd about it.

I don't think this book should really exist. Now, I've yet to open the shrink wrap to see what the number inside the book says, but what the hell am I looking at here?
Draco18s
Buy it and find out. That's pretty awesome.
Troyminator
Powell's is in Portland, Or., correct?
Mr. Hollis
Yes, Powells is in portland, and yes, I already purchased the book. Just wanted to know what I had before I did anything with it.
Adarael
How odd! Does the interior number match?

No one can tell, it's still wrapped, apparently.
Tanegar
Does this mean that there are actually 1501 copies of the limited edition, or that the number only goes up to 1499 of 1500?
etherial
Could be a proof copy that wandered off the ranch.
sabs
Don't open it
While it's still wrapped in shrinkwrap it is Schroedinger's Book. Noone knows for sure if it's really book 0 or not. It could be worth dozens of dollars! Once you open it, then it's just another SR4a book.
Adarael
I say open it, because I don't give a crap about Schrodinger's Book. wink.gif

Ask Bill Door. It's a sad day if he doesn't know if a cat is alive or not. nyahnyah.gif

"Noooooooooooooooooo !! You must not read from the book"

"What harm ever came from reading a book ??"
Ancient History
Heh. I think I might have been there when that one was turned in.
Mr Clock
Open it open it open it!
Synner667
How much did you pay for it ??

Would you sell it, unopened ??
Belvidere
With any luck Mr Hardy might swing though the forums and peek into this thread, you may be sitting on something pretty rare. Congrats!!

Damn, that is cool no matter what the circumstance is. Nice find, sir!

Is the shrink wrap original as the price tag says "used"?
Mr. Hollis
Link - the shrink wrap is still original, yes. It's not the first LE I've gotten my hands on - I think the 'used' is from the fact someone sold it to Powell's for store credit.

As far as the book goes, I caved in to temptation earlier and opened the shrink wrap just enough to get the book out - it is in fact a number 0 book.

That being said, I may be looking to offload one of my /other/ LE copies - but this one is mine. nyahnyah.gif
