So, I was at Powell's City of Books yesterday, and I found a copy of the LE sitting on the shelf. As the title has already spoiled, there is something odd about it.
http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g382/M...03-06135314.jpgI don't think this book should really exist. Now, I've yet to open the shrink wrap to see what the number inside the book says, but what the hell am I looking at here?

Powell's is in Portland, Or., correct?

Yes, Powells is in portland, and yes, I already purchased the book. Just wanted to know what I had before I did anything with it.

No one can tell, it's still wrapped, apparently.

Does this mean that there are actually 1501 copies of the limited edition, or that the number only goes up to 1499 of 1500?

Could be a proof copy that wandered off the ranch.

Don't open it
While it's still wrapped in shrinkwrap it is Schroedinger's Book. Noone knows for sure if it's really book 0 or not. It could be worth dozens of dollars! Once you open it, then it's just another SR4a book.

I say open it, because I don't give a crap about Schrodinger's Book.

Ask Bill Door. It's a sad day if he doesn't know if a cat is alive or not.

Is the shrink wrap original as the price tag says "used"?
Mr. Hollis
Mar 8 2011, 05:50 AM
Link - the shrink wrap is still original, yes. It's not the first LE I've gotten my hands on - I think the 'used' is from the fact someone sold it to Powell's for store credit.
As far as the book goes, I caved in to temptation earlier and opened the shrink wrap just enough to get the book out - it is in fact a number 0 book.
