Was reading a discussion recently about mixing crunch with fluff outside of core material. I say this has been a precedent since first edition whether or not you agree with it. And to prove my point I opened an old box of SR books and did some reading. Found something I didn't expect and honestly don't even remember. Brownie points if you can name were this spell comes from.
See-Me-Not Spell
Drain: L1 Type: Mana Duration: Maintainable
Special Effects: This spell causes the subject to become
distracted whenever faced with the particular image(s) he is shown
immediatily after the spell is cast. The distration lasts until somthing
else occurs to attract his attention.
The subject remains unaware of the effects of the spell and
will not remember seeing the distracting images after his distraction.
The distraction will seem completely natural to him.
