So I was reading Distinctive Style Negative Quality in Runner's Companion (page 103) and the last paragraph made this mention:

QUOTE ("Distinctive Style @ Runner's Companion, page 103")
All the advanced character options in this book automatically suffer the effects of Distinctive Style and do not get a BP bonus

What are considered Advanced Character Options? Is it everything, including metavariants, changelings, HMHVV, etc.?
Jhaiisiin
Basically every character option in Runner's Companion. So all the infected, the sentient critters, AI, shapeshifters, drakes and changelings

What sucks is that not all of these really deserve it. After all, you're not "distinctive" if all you have is colored hair and react quickly.
Stingray
..or person w/ 5k debt..
..or enemy..
or..

Those qualities aren't something you can take through metagenics, so no, those don't cause the same distinctive style. Why did you think they do?

Hmm... To clarify my earlier statement, every character option and all the metagenic qualities. The normal positive/negative qualities generally don't come with distinctive style.

I'd think that unlike the traditional view on distinctive style that these are less "I choose to leave a deaths head playing card on every corpse I come across, after I kill them with my brilliant gem encrusted pink war bow!" and more like "Crap this guy is a ghoul, and everyone knows Ghouls eat people!"

I always thought it was "wtf a troll in a ballerina outfit?!"

Heh. Sadly somewhere someone is playing that guy.

So Centaurs don't have names, are just refered to as Centaur or The Centaur.

"Have you seen George? you know The Centaur."
"oh yes, I know The Centaur"

Creatures can be TOO unique. Anything that is not immortal and the population in any given group is always 1 (not %, but #) then the total population should be 0.
