Full Version: Core Rulebooks Reprints

I'm all for new adventures, campaigns and setting sourcebooks, but one thing I'd really like is reprints of all the core rulebooks. I know I can get the PDFs (I have them), but it would be nice to be able to get dead trees of all rulebooks, available all at cover price, all at one time. It's harder to get book-lovin' new players into the game when certain core books are all out-of-print at any given time. The Arsenal reprint was a step in the right direction; I'd rather see more of that than more setting sourcebooks hit my FLGS shelves. Of course, I'm assuming that Cataylst is invested in 4A for a while, and not already prepping 5th Edition. Who's with me here?

Are you talking about SR4 books?

All of the SR4 books are available at my FLGS, including som of the older editions in their used section.

I really can't see CGL re-printing books from SR1-3, but the SR4 books al seems to be available.

I've been trying to find a second printing of street magic. If anyone sees one on a shelf, let me know, hey?

Augmentation, Unwired, Street Magic are not that difficult to find on the internet yet.

I do partially agree with the OP. It would be nice to support the local game store by being able to order the books from CGL, but it is about whether or not CGL would be making money on the reprints that really matters.

I'd rather have them continue to turn in a revenue on new materials then lose money potentially on reprints of the core supplements. Our new group filled with new players managed to track down the necessary books via PDF, Amazon, or Ebay.

I'm more aligned with the OP here. I like the feeling of a hard copy. First, books on PDF, you can't thumb through, and if your players have them on lappy, eventually Facebook, YouTube, and icanhaz spring up. I'd love to help out my local store, but I do want all the core reprints
