Full Version: Melanin Control & Similar Adept Powers

So you need to spend a complex action to get a change that lasts for Magic Rt in hours. At the end of the time can you just spend this action again to maintain this effect...does it wear off completely before you can do it again? There are similar powers and I've not found one that covers this, although Master of 1000 faces which I guess is the culmination of all of these would have to start again for the 24hour shift...

Anyone got a view? Better yet anyone got a RAW that covers this?

Thanks!

Forgive me showing my inner nerd, but I usually play it like polyjuice from Harry Potter. You can use it as long as you like, but you have to reapply it regularly to avoid having it run out at a really inopportune time.

Nothing Wrong with having an Inner Nerd...
I agree with you in that you can just take the action to maintain it as you need to do so. smile.gif

Yeah, this.

Imo, it'll only 'run out' if the PC is unable to do occasional 'maintenance' for a longer period of time.

Facial sculpt and melanin control both last (Magic) hours, but neither power has Drain, and both can be reapplied relatively quickly, so the duration only comes into play in unusual circumstances (such as sleeping, or being knocked unconscious, with the power "on").
