Just wondering what hackers call "trolls" in Shadowrun.

Wow, autocorrect screwed up the title. That should be 'Trolling' - as in internet trolls. >.<

Ah! I was thinking of tripping, as in acid tripping, which would be Bettlehead, obviously.
But with Trolls now active, I guess you'd just go back to the older form, of 'Trawling' or, failing that, just 'Fishing'.

Yeah...considering that some trolls can punch harder than a PAC, I wouldn't recommend using that one within hearing range of Mihoshi Oni or Street Rage.
Or, y'know, any other troll ever.

Tripping in SR4?
Tripping. Drugs are drugs, and drugs are bad, m'kay?

Except when they're combat chems. Then they're
awesome!
(And if you don't believe me, remember that they let you paint the walls with up to 300% more bullets, depending on what you're speedballing)

Now that I think about it, it might be appropriate. The more politically correct would have something else, but in an anonymous Matrix chat room and some-one voices or shoots down an opinion belligerently and offensively, I can imagine some-one saying "Listen to him, I bet he's a trog". It goes with the stereotype of trolls being dull witted and aggressive.

I think it may be easier to just change the name of the metatype... my group kept laughing whenever the magic word was uttered.
Anyway maybe there's a non-English term that can replace it, probably something Japanese. Maybe "baker", "baking", a combo of "baka" and "bait", also drugs connotations.
"Omea, the guy is baking you, shut the drek up"

Dangerous.
If a Troll is hungry, you had beeter feed him.
He might just eat you instead if you don't . . .

Well, if you go with 'Trawling', then you get "Don't get hooked" or "Don't take the bait" and other assorted fishing things.
