There are now 3 forums devoted to the PnP portion of the game. Is this a problem? Can the base support 3? Admittedly the one at Shadowrun.com is little used but what about Jack Point and Dump Shock?

What about them?
It has Never been a problem for me. Dumpshock is King, as far as I am concerned. Never really tried out Jackpoint and have not been on the Official Forums for a long time. *shrug*
We have had these three forums for a long time (and there is likely FAR more than just these 3 forums in existence), and they have been going strong. Why should it be a problem?

Some of us post on more than one forum. I've noticed each placed (that I've been to) has a different flavor to it as far as discussions and posting style. 'S all good, chummer.

You are only a little bit cranky due to not getting to play and only GM all the time ^^

I'm a Jerk by Canadian standards. Which are pretty damned low unless you're from Toronto.

There have been a lot of forums over the years with varying levels of popularity. You'd see a lot of names common between them as well. Like Tekno said, each is a little different. Many are a lot smaller so people know each other better, or tend to be in more games together.
The definite upside to a larger forum like DS is the sheer number of posts and topics. Sounds obvious , but when I'm out for a couple of days and find the same topics at the top of the page, I'm surprised. On a lot of the smaller ones, there's fewer fresh thoughts and questions popping up, so things move slower. Because of that, they tend to die off.
Another upside to multiple forums can be ideas carrying over from one to another. What I used to see more often though is a few posters or group from one acting The Ass on another forum and carrying that baggage around, until they eventually get banned down to one or two, usually the more insular or lenient one.

Toronto? Toronto isn't in Quebec. The biggest Canadian jerks that I've met were all from Quebec.

Yeah, but did they consider themselves "Canadian"?

...
Yes yes, I know, "The Special Hell".

Though there probably is some truth to what you say...we have a pretty high jerk quotient.

Try the east coast, particularly NY and NJ. In my experience, which is limited granted, the jerkiest Canadian I have ever met rates pretty high on the nice guy standard list for the US.

I used to do Tech Support for NYC Cable TV.
I know how bad New Yorkers can get.

...or try the west coast/western states, the base III is in the middle of the Nevada desert, the other two bases are New York and Toronto. I'm thinking a fourth base should be considered, in the southern/southeast states like in the Louisiana Bayous.

It's hard for the bayou people to be jerks when most people can't understand what they're saying.

Actually this tends to increase the jerkiness. Because after about 30 seconds of a person who doesn't understand them saying "I'm sorry sir but I can't understand you, maybe if you stop chewing whatever that is in your mouth...oh thats just the way you talk..." they get irate and throw tantrums...and you still don't know what the heck is going on or what they are talking about...you just know they're angry about something.

The only "Jackpoint Forums" google turned up with other then the SR4 forums web design made me want to puke (i am not exaggerating here kids, moving background is so geocities) so i don't think there's too much a problem of a over-split.
Honestly there's a lot of cross over between here and the SR4 boards, it's mostly a matter of figuring out who's using what handle over there. The other forum seems more lively and I think the forum seperation helps a lot. On the other hand they go a little too far with that at times. These days I'm posting over there more often, especially sicne my primary interest is missions, but I still check in over here.

There's not many people in Eastern Washington either, unless you live in Spokane county.

I guess what I was poorly asking is if the fan base was big/strong enough to be split between multiple forums and I guess from the replies above the answer is yes. Glad to hear it.
Speaking of jerks...... working in customer service it's not where you live... it's how much you make.

Las Vegas is full of jerks from other jerk-villes. We get New Yorkers, Californians (oh how I hates them), insulted because you don't speak Spanish, etc, etc. Really makes me pine for southwestern Washington. Then I just had to deal with hippies from Portland.

Amen to that, try working for a mortgage company...the things people think they deserve...lol
