Wow, they must have spent at least $400 on that...
Kinda glad that wasn't my intro to the game.

In today's money, maybe. Accounting for inflation...
Nice to see Wedge, however.

A number of good, epic movies came out of the '80s.
This is not one of them.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt for the mind blowing CGI matrix combat scene. That shit wasn't cheap in the early '90s...
That and the hot glue budget to keep the MiniDIN-6 connector stuck to the decker's forehead

Seriously. With the budget of that Matrix scene cost them back in 1990, they could have drawn a shadowrun cartoon for a full season.
Glad they didnt. Something nostalgic about old school CGI. Probably 100 polys in the entire sequence.
Still. The magic was just awesome. Strike a pose and knock a guy out. As long as your chummer has your back and makes sure your tits won't pop out afterwards. (Honestly, what the hell were those two doing after the spell was cast?)

"So Shadowrun is that game set in a dark future where clothes are extremely expensive, so you play a group of lightly-clothed people who do illegal work, probably in the hope of being get enough clothing to survive winter. You can play a slut-mage who casts spells, a decker who goes into VIRTUAL REALITY or a beefy dude who's super good at removing covers from boxes."

It's like you're trying to make these sound like bad things. :o
