Full Version: How the other side lives

Just out of curiosity has anyone ever played a Shadowrunner with solid corperate ties?

For example, I have a character who works as an employee of Lone Star. He's an Animal Control specialist with a little 'ware, a little magic and a job that puts him far enough out of the way of 'real' cop-work that the higher-ups often use him to do Shadowruns. (They see his position at the company as an easy way to claim he was just a rogue employee who had become disgruntled)

Pretty much he has enough regulars he teams up with to calle them a crew and often is given Runs that benifit the company in some way. Like acting the part of witness protection and hauling some poor shmoe around so he won't get riddled with holes, making evidence conveniantly disappear (or appear) and in general ignoring those extraterritoriality lines in the sand.

He's not a bad guy and more-or-less moral and like any other Shadowrunner he just shrugs and conciders what he does 'Another part of the job'.

Anyone else got a character like this?
Seriously Mike
The hacker from my players' team is a son of a cop - SINner, Connection 5 police contact, this kind of stuff. And he's as likely to take a job from his "uncle" the captain as to work for the Mob.

My Cyberlogician was an Employee of Knight Errant sent undercover into the shadows to uncover the identities of the cities Shadowrunners and their underworld contacts and build dossiers on them. He was an awesome character.

My favorite character did enough work with police that she became known as the person to come to for work that they couldn't legally get away with- nasty 4th Ammendment, but because of her morals it was for things that should be put away-sort of 'we need someone to get through their doors and see if I'm right.

When LS lost the Seattle contract I found a couple of contacts suddenly working the other side of the street- 'can you recommend me to someone looking for a little muscle?"
