I'm pretty sure we can put the Avengers and the Justice League to shame with our own heroes. We already have noticeable examples from around the world like the famous:

Sonic Boom'
Master of Gong-Fu with his Voice Control, Commanding Voice and Elemental Strike (Sound).

Dr.Lovegood
The pornomancer...nough said.
Secret identity: Pornstar

Swift Justice
The twitchiest streetsam alive and an addiction to judging people...harshly...

He sees, smells, hears, etc everything. He's never surprised and his analytical abilities make him understand and predict every move of his enemies.

Let's go with a human with full alphaware cyberlimbs and cybertorso (all synthetic to avoid easy detection), plus adapsin and biocompatability with cyberware. add synaptic boosters to up his IPs, and give him a wingsuit, possibly with a wingsuit jetpack, and grappling gun.

Anyone know a way to make him able to block shots with his pistol?

The spleen: genetic alteration to make him immune to nausea gas, and a nausea gas chem gland in his ass. he farts his foes into submission... just don't pull his finger.

I like it.

EDIT: Captain Australia: A slouch hat'd throwing adept, specializing in boomerangs with masses of manly chest hair, an awful accent and a pair of bandoleers full of stubbies (Cans of beer).

He's a lonely drug-addicted paramedic on the hunt for the last specimen of a great and near-mythical creature. She's a scantily clad psychic lawyer who can talk to animals.

Average Man! Faster than a sprinting housecat, more powerful than a twelve volt battery! Leaps small fences in a single bound! straight 3's in everything... including every active skill and a staggering number of knowledge skills. His superpower is being just competent in every area.

Hyperman: A friend once joked that Cram was a vitamin supplement. Hyperman believed him, and now takes some every morning.

BTW I now can't get the image of a guy in a rocket-propelled squirrel costume zooming through Seattle fighting crime.

The Good Fight.

I really didn't go far enough with that one back in the day. Maybe sometime in the future, in my copious unstructured free time....

Interesting.

Best movie I can think of for this topic is Kick-Ass. These are down-to-earth superheroes only relying on skill and gear (low-cost batmans if you want). A shadowrunner team doing good, would be a group pf Big Daddys and Hit-Girls.
Byrel
Well, with a good bit more paranoia. No way should a runner group meet up with a contact who claims to be in trouble without any sort of overwatch, legwork, etc. Just plain dumb, that is. Furthermore, they really lacked a face, and connections. Big Daddy and Hit Girl are basically a couple of street sams. Quite effective at mayhem, but with serious weaknesses from a lack of support.

Not to worry. with the exceptional electronic warfare sidekick EEW MAN they cannot fail while being supported by their Justice Mobile driver SKIDMARKS MAN.

I was more thinking along the lines of 'Mystery Men', personally... Captain Amazing would probably be sponsored by half the megacorps smile.gif

Actually I had a run idea today: Two groups of 'superheros', one group high end with mysterious sponsors, one group low end and dedicated to doing good. Group low end is suspicious of group high-end's mysterious funding and scrounge some money together to hire the runners to infiltrate it to check it out.

I was planning on having the funding come from somewhere like the universal brotherhood, the humanis policlub, something like that, and having the head superhero under their thumb and forwarding their agenda.

Yes, I know it needs to be fleshed out a bit.

Why go synthetic when you can go chrome and call yourself Iron Man!

Unfortunately, BMX bandit is also a 400bp character.

No one ever said this game was balanced.

Yeah... who's brilliant idea was it to make a tricked-out BMX cost 49 BP worth of your starting wealth?!?
