Full Version: Multiple commands in a single swift action?

Hay all, I was looking through my books and I don't think its possible for a runner to make multiple commands in a single simple action. Is it? If not, I have a few ideas

Networked Drones-program-This program allows several different drones to be networked and follow an action as if each drone was given the same action through a simple action. The cost of this item is equal to the sum of all pilot programs for each drone. The networked drones all use the rank of the pilot check equal to the lowest pilot check used to determine the cost of this program.

Twined souls-positive quality-10bp-you may bind two spirits to you. The cost to bind these spirits is doubles and the only perform half as many tasks. However when you give a command to one spirit, both spirits perform this task.

If this is redundant, please tell me. If not, I'd love any opinions you guys have on if these are overpowered or not. Thanks.

Well, your Networked drones idea already exists. It is an option with how you command them. If they are all subscribed to the same subscription, they will all follow the same commands automatically.

Don't like the twinned sould option at all...

Want multiple actions in a Pass, split your dice pools as appropriate. smile.gif

I'm pretty sure you can just designate one spirit as squad leader:
"Follow the big air spirit's commands".
Then give the air spirit instructions, and let his intuition and logic of 6 figure out how best to use his assets.

Yes, that's called 'loaning out' a spirit... it's in the rules. You can take a bound spirit and hand it to someone who can order it around and use up it's services like normal... it's not just one service to tell him to follow the other spirits' orders. (loaned services p187, also reread the spirits as NPC's on p188). Also remember high force spirits given unpleasant orders may very well wish word things.

There are rules for sending the same command to a list of drones... the list has to be done in advance though and all drones must have the same command sent to their doggy brains. (p245 issuing commands, p229 matrix actions)

Alternatively... you can pre-script sets of orders... then use a simple command to order an agent/pilot to execute them. You have the script file pre-made... or you take the time to edit it... then give it to the agent to execute. This is gone into more detail in unwired.
