Is the act of chanting enough to satisfy your geas? Or do the words actually have to be heard? Could a silence spell cast on a chanting mage or adept break his geas and not allow him to use his magic?

Just becasue a Mage is chanting doesn't mean that that he "needs" to be chanting. So be careful what you silence, cause you still might get a hell of a blast from him.
