Don't know if this is DNA, but soft tissues certainly have.

EDIT: Or hell, if they can deduce enough about the genetic structure from proteins in the material they'd be able to "sci-fi" scientifically recreate the DNA from base-pairs in a lab. It's like reverse-engineering a puzzle by looking at a picture, figuring out the shape of the puzzle pieces, then manufacturing your own pieces printed with the same image.
