Tried to really listen in, but couldn't hear anyone shouting a warning.

Didn't think a baseball made much sound coming in but maybe he heard it/felt the air shift ahead of it or caught it out of the corner of his eye, but pretty impressive in any case.

It's fake. It was for a commercial. It hits Facebook every once in a while, though.

I had wondered if it might have been staged, but in any case still makes a good scene for combat sense in action

Though maybe it's more for a special bodyguard version since it was protecting someone next to them while CS really only works for when you are in direct danger.

Think ED had a bodyguard archetype in one of the later books with something similar.
