What's interesting is that these bidding forums generally AREN'T what gets used in most Shadowrun games.
The majority of SR games I've seen, and the way the game itself tends to be written towards, is teams of shadowrunners, either regular partners or put together ad-hoc, being hired for specific jobs by specific clients. Typically using a fixer as intermediary, or at least to make the introductions and pull all the relevant parties together.
In contrast, real life from the article above seems to be evolving towards open bidding, where a client posts his needs and one or more teams gets the paydata and THEN contacts the client with their price. You might see this in Shadowrun indirectly, a fixer might use such a bidding forum to find jobs, but it's not the sort of things shadowrunners tend to experience directly.
I suppose once again real life evolves faster than the game.
