When the Lights Go Down

Money? Check. Political turmoil leading to scrambling for power? You bet. Megacorps jockeying for position while working to take their rivals down a notch? Of course! A festering hive of corruption set next to one of the most scenic bays ever colonized by humans? Absolutely! San Francisco has all of the ingredients needed to make a nice, festering stew for shadowrunners. With the former imperialistic fascist General Saito out of power and the entire bay area united as a single sprawl, there is power and money to be had, which means business in the shadows is booming. San Francisco is a shadowrunner’s guide to the people, places, and plots that make up this city, providing the paydata they need to navigate the hilly streets and cruel back roads of a sprawl whose aura of sophistication can’t mask its deadly heart.

With information on getting into and around the city, notable locations across the sprawl, and plot hooks to keep runners busy, San Francisco is an indispensable aid to Shadowrun players looking to bring their skills to the city by the bay.

San Francisco is part of the City by Shadow series of e-books focusing on cities across the Sixth World and is for use with Shadowrun, Fifth Edition.

Any chance Albuquerque is on the list? I keep looking for some sort of newer reference for the PCC.

Man, $8 for 19 pages? I'd love to get this but it's hard to bite at that. I mean, Sioux Nation also costs $8 but is twice the length.

Aye, I got it and its pretty much all fluff with just 2 NPC and the return of the Colt Manhunter at the end.

It has alot of people and places of interest and what it has is nicely written, but it is pretty short compared to the rest of the series.

Cheyenne: 43 pages
Butte: 21 pages

So at 19 pages this comes in behind Butte in size.

Now Butte did have some more crunch at the end, so really it's fluff was about 18 pages which is comparable to San Francisco.

But I am not sure what to say to that because, well it's comparing Butte to San Fran nyahnyah.gif

Has there been an announcement abut where the rest of this release set it going? With Sioux Nation they did the country and then cities/towns within it. So logically, this would mean that they are going to do neighborhoods within SanFran maybe? That could be why the book is a little on the lighter side.
